Very rural and rustic campsite, it was lovely to be by the river and to be able to do various big circular day hikes straight from the site without driving. Daniel and his family that ran the site and farm were all absolutely lovely and couldn't be more friendly and helpful. The pizzas made at the farm were absolutely delicious also! Facilities really clean and looked after. Zero phone signal or wifi which was a lovely to fully switch off. Will stay again thanks :)

Gorgeous location next to the River Derwent and friendly, helpful owners.

No hot water available for washing up at campsite.

We arrived late due to airport delays on the way, and were worried we wouldn’t be able to pitch up if it was shut before dark but got there and found the pitch and got the tent box up no dramas, there’s nice toilets as you arrive and inside all the information you need on clear signs for where to find things, camp rules, local amenities.

It’s right down the road from the honister pass which was why we chose it, it made getting to our activities on time a breeze! We stayed the one night and it was easy peasy and a lovely stay for us and the dog!

The facilities around were regularly cleaned and the staff were friendly.
It was a good spot to do hikes and had no service so we could switch off from everyday life.

There wasn’t really anything we disliked other than other site users let their dogs run around when speaking to the owner they did ask them not to.

One toilet seat was a bit broken

Showers and toilets were clean. Pizza on Saturday night was lovely! No signal available and had to go closer to Keswick for this, but not a bad thing for a few days.

Lack of flat pitches available, wasn’t that much to choose from.

Hot water not working at wash up area

A small campsite with clean toilets and washing area a few feet away. A stream runs through the site which is very picturesque. We were visited on the site about 9pm to check our booking and to ask any questions. The site is in a lovely spot with areas of interest close by. The Seatoller Farm is a short walk from the site and has a cafe, pub and barn eating area.

I don't think the site was monitored very much so pitching up was a bit of a free for all in terms of finding a spot. I'd advise getting there close to check in time. Unfortunately no electric pitches or signal (which is mentioned in the booking - would just be nice).

We had a lovely stay at Seatoller Campsite. The campsite is smaller then some of the other campsites near by, this meant it was alot quieter in the evening and it felt more peaceful. Great for us as we are a family with children so sleep is important. The campsite was a short walk from the farm shop, pizza barn and local pub. All of these were fantastic. The farm shop sold cakes, scones, icecream, lamb burgers, gifts, coffee. It was a lovely little shop. The pizza barn was great. We has fresh pizzas on Saturday which were delicious. There are walks available directly from Seatoller in all directions. I didnt use my car for 2 days as we didnt need to due tp the fantastic choice of scenic trails. The site itself was clean and looked after. The toilets and washing station were cleaned daily. The campsite owners were super helpful and friendly.

Unfortunatley we didnt have a great choice to pitch lower down in the campsite where views were more visable as it was a bit to wet and boggy. This isnt the farms fault ad we have alot of rain. We opted on the nearest pitches to the toilet which were drier however it does mean you lose some of the open views of the valley. There wasnt a great deal of space for kids to play. They managed to find some small open places to play but they were quite near other peoples pitches which they didnt look pleased about, so we felt a bit restricted. However one evening we walked upto a huge field just over a foot bridge and made use of this space.

We loved the peace and quiet of this idyllic site tucked away in Borrowdale. Dan and Ruby were so friendly and couldn't do enough to help. We walked along the lake to Keswick and returned by bus to fantastic homemade pizzas at the farm. We loved our stay here and will definitely return.
