Shame the non-handicapped toilet / shower appeared to be locked due to requiring a repair. Not completed during our week stay.

Poor signage as to where to park for check in.

The booking system; not being able to telephone to arrange a stay at short notice as we are not always able to access an internet connection.

Easy to find. Beautiful setting in the walled garden and the grounds of Paxton Hall are calm and quiet. They have a cosy tea room/cafe which is very reasonably priced. As it was the end of the season there were only 3 pitches being used. There is a craft market in the marquee on a Tuesday which was a nice surprise. Great walks along the river and there is a bus to Berwick about 4 times a day.

As said before there is only 2 toilets and showers. At the time of writing only one toilet and shower were in use but as no one there it wasn't a problem.

Nice parking spot, very quiet and well-maintained. The surroundings are very beautiful.

Lovely location so easy to travel to beautiful coastal fishing villages, nice cafe on site lovely walks around grounds

No check when late arrival s come and depart early morning, must loose a lot of money, by not having a good check in system

Warm welcome at check in - Lovely peaceful & relaxed Country walled garden site - Well spaced out neat pitches - Electric hook up included and two wet rooms which were large and clean (no stupid push buttons) - Lots of walks round the Grounds - Owl and Deer spotted - Cross Inn Pub/Restaurant only a 10min walk away in the Village (very nice meal) - Stayed a further night and will definitely return :)

We have stayed at Paxton numerous times over the past 12 years and always
liked it very much (hence the reason we keep coming back)
There are lovely walks in the woods and along the river side , the house is very interesting and recommend a visit. Although there is a cafe it is is very limited to what they serve and the quality is just OK , it was much better when the previous people ran it and they used to do POP up evening dinners
It is just a short walk to the village of Paxton where there is nice pub which serves good meals
It is just a short bus ride from in front of the house (in the summer months) to Berwick.

All though we have been coming for many years however the past couple of times we have noticed a deterioration in the upkeep of the grounds and the running of the caravan site
The up keep of the grounds not as good as it used to be and the control of who actually uses the site , when we where there this time they were massively over booked such that at least three motorhomes could get a pitch as the site was full even though they had paid via Pitch up ,one lady had come all the way from Essex , I suspect people were just using it with out paying as there is no one to control the site in spite of them saying there is a warden that checks we have never seen one for years. Last year we were there and some people even bragged to us that they sometimes just turn up and leave early (without paying).
There are toilets (only 2) which are questionable whether you would use them as they are not very clean and last week they were VERY smelly. We never saw a cleaner there whole week.
Disappointed to learn that the Tuesday Craft market is being discontinued which
we think this is a bad decision as it must bring in much needed customers to the cafe and the grounds.

liked everything about this lovely very quiet and fantastic site. it is set inside the walled garden of the stately home, big well set out pitches good clean toilets and showers good cafe on site and massive gardens with woodland and river walks. approx 1.5miles from Paxton village with a fantastic village pub with good ales fine wines and excellent meals
