The site is well kept and clean and only a pleasant walk from the village of Paxton and the Cross Keys Inn where first class food is served at a very reasonable price. We have visited Paxton House 4 times and have learned many new pieces of information from the guides who take you through time when these majestic houses were in operation. This time the water wheel was in operation and we had the pleasure of seeing it working and had a talk on how it worked. Wi-Fi would be an excellent option here. As Annie said - we will be back.

We booked a boat trip on the Tweed while we were here which we really enjoyed and the guide was excellent.

No me gustó: Not easy to access toilets/shower as quite a few vans with no on-board facilities so toilets/showers were usually in use.
Thanks for your lovely review- we agree the cake in the tearoom is delicious!
We appreciate the showers/ toilets do get busy- this is why we actually don’t advertise the site has them. We don’t want people to be disappointed or frustrated!
