The owners management of our noise complaint.

The owner raised her voice making wrongful accusations,
Being accosted brushing my teeth and demanding I apologise to people,
Following me shouting at me until I had to stand still and try to calmly explain I didn’t do anything that would require an apology,
Shouting at my sister who was terrified in the tent,
Shouting at a young gay couple, “your on the blocked list”
Making a scene with other campers - “I’m a woman on the war path” was loudly said as she went round people.

If we had made noise, absolutely this should be dealt with.
But we didn’t.
And it should NOT be dealt with like this. !!

Utterly shocking and so upset.

Excellent facilities amazingly clean toilet block, clean showers with great hot water and pressure. The washing up area was also very clean with a book swap which was very handy.
Tent pitches very well kept and tidy.

Fishing-had a great time going back to basics catching good quality carp who are in great condition. Weights are up to about 7lb. Also roach, tench and rudd among the species in the lake. Good swims with seating and gravelled footpath around lake.

We loved the peace and tranquility of this site and, because its small, the ease of access to the toilets and washing up facilities (2 sinks) that were very well maintained. We stayed put for 2 days and observed many different types of birdlife from our spot, accompanied each day by the pleasant whinny of the horses adjacent to the site. There were blackberries to pick by the pond and a good enough phone signal for keeping touch with the world. The site managers were very welcoming and friendly, all in all a great place for rest and relaxation.

Nothing. FYI The sat nav post code ref. takes you to higher up on the road south of Crowborough so you need to drive down a fair few hundred yards further to get to the actual site entrance.

Lovely friendly site. First time and will not be the last. Julie & Paul made us feel welcome with smiles and laughter from the first day until the last. We stayed on grass pitch in our tent with a friend whom came with us on the next pitch. Plenty of hot water in the shower, loo’s were immaculately kept, and the washing up area too. Everyone was friendly and engaging if you wanted a chat to pass the time a very well run site. Situated next door to the Downs View Vineyard, we made use of their Friday evening pizza evening a real treat. Local takeaways will deliver to your pitch if you wish and sitting round the fire pit watching the glorious sunset we will all treasure for a long time. Julie & Paul keep up the good work, in this day age it’s nice to find camp owners who genuinely care caring and really want you to enjoy their site.

Very relaxed and beautiful campsite. It was beautifully maintained and the loos and washing up facilities were kept to a very high standard. The camping areas had wonderful views. It was so quiet at night and everyone respected this. We enjoyed having the opportunity to use a fire pit in the evening. Would happily stay here again. We didn’t have time to explore much of the area but drove 5 mins to Walshes Park in Crowborough for a lovely evening walk with our dog.

This site is amazing. Warm and welcoming people, well kept grounds, perfect amenities and all for such a good price. The pond area is super cute and there are even restaurants the deliver to your pitch. I couldn’t rate this place higher and have already returned for another tranquil break! Thank you all 🩷

There is nothing not too like, Julie and Paul keep Idle Hours immaculate, everyone is friendly and respectful. We have stayed several times before, and will return again in the future. This trip was a last minute thing, decided at 4pm on Friday we arrived and we’re pitched by 730pm, the weather was amazing and everyone on the site was making the most of it, perfect weekend.
