We loved the campsite and the location and being in nature with the sight of horses and the sounds of many birds. We appreciated the generous space and distance between campers. Plus the proximity to the vineyard restaurant nearby.

Friendly welcome, super clean facilities and tidy site. Loved the peace and relaxed feel. Ideal for many walks (5 miles from Ashdown Forest), places to visit or drop down to the coast.

early morning noise from distant trains might be a problem for some but not for me . A very nice site tucked away down a country lane but near to town with supermarkets and the Wheatsheaf pub!

It was very quiet, friendly and the facilities were very clean.

So quiet, which is exactly what I wanted! No kids, no music, no parties, all dogs well behaved.
Lots of space, each spot had plenty of space for the car and extra space for a table and chairs.
Facilities are spotless plus never needed to queue.
Beautiful scenery, whether it's a thunderstorm or a sunset it's a lovely view.
Vineyard next door is definitely worth a visit.

Booked for a last minute short break, the site came up as a recommendation and didn’t disappoint. With views of the downs and exceptionally clean and tidy facilities Idle Hours was the perfect place to rest a while. Not an overly large site, everyone was really friendly and there were an abundance of furry friends all very well behaved.
