Stayed in the clearing. Great amount of space for each pitch and great setting amongst the trees. Very quiet and peaceful. Wood and campfires were available and the toilets and showers were all in good order. It is an eco-campsite so mot for everyone, but personally I thought it was great.

Nothing to dislike

The efficient set up and Jason is absolutely incredible. This is a site you rock up to and just be. The pitches are well looked after and well spaced. The instructions provided are clear and cover all. If need or want anything just ask. I felt very comfortable with the kids going into the woods as long as they were together. The peace and quiet is great. The shower set up is magical - you wash with the trees and it is hot water. There were flushing toilets and kept clean. but I actually preferred the compost set up in the adult only field.
Top tips

take a stove kettle to heat up water for washing up if you prefer that and two bowls one to wash one to rinse v easy

If you can fit a fire pit or as we did our chiminea do so but the facilities to hire a drum r great and safe too fire blankets etc provided

Logs are worth the purchase

Night sky was amazing and listening to the wildlife around you, just wow

Bin bags for you to take plastic and non recycled material home, can recycle cans, food waste and wood at the site.

If you do need your tech take a fully charged power bank

Watercress line isn't far away and there were lots of little hidden gems

Very relaxed, beautiful setting. Attentive host. Host sent a lot of info upon arrival. Was a lovely weekend away. Rustic facilities worth noting if you are new to camping. Semi outdoor (well heated hot water pump) was quaint, facilities in general quite basic.

No hot water to aid with washing up, there was a stand alone sink but no hot water. Not the end of the world. No bins for general waste. As an eco site I understand the drive to reduce waste. cans, bottles recycling point provided but no general waste. This presented a bit of an issue with young children etc.

The feel of the field the line of the trees the sounds of the horses and the wind. Early days, the electrics (ie lighting) in the loo facilities needs a little work and you could do with another shower. But that said everything worked for us, very clean well managed and Fabulous Chill time. Hope to come next year and perhaps get a secluded spot for the group

Beautiful location.

Very low pressure water meant toilets not working properly and no shower or washing up facility with water. Drinking water was from a plastic tank.

We loved the space, the views, the tranquility and spaces to play for children.

It’s a bit of a walk to the toilets and the kids didn’t liked the barbed wire, but these are minor points.
