Me and my boyfriend have just come back from our first stay at Fairhaven and have already booked to go back!
It was a lovely, peaceful and flat site with great facilities and a helpful host.
Even though the toilets are unisex they were always immaculate and the showers were powerful and well heated.
The pot wash and waste disposal was all perfectly functional, with lots of leaflets and suggestions of things to do, walks to go on and places to visit in the local area pinned on the wall above the sink.
There was a little bit of road noise through the day, but nothing that would put me off going again. At night it was very quiet, and on a morning it was magical being able to hear so many birds in the hedgerows surrounding the site.
When we visited the chickens and ducks were kept under cover due to Avian Flu risks, but hopefully on our next visit they can be out and about!

The welcome when you arrive is great, you have the option to hire a firepit which comes with a fire lighters. matches and wood you can even buy some marshmallows to roast. The pitches are all a large size on a flat field. The toilets and showers are clean and always had hot running water. You can buy fresh eggs everyday laid by the chickens on site. Had a great long weekend will be back.

Lovely owner Carrie was very friendly and welcoming, facilities all very clean and we loved the fire pit we hired, our grandson enjoyed the sandpit and seeing the chickens & ducks.

Internet was very intermittent so it was difficult for our grandson to watch disney and the shower temperature was difficult to regulate it got dangerously hot or cold.

Such a welcoming place , from the moment we got there it was made to feel like we had been there before . Carrie was an excellent host from the beginning and catered for everything we needed, was always available to offer advice on the local area or help with issues . Carrie kindly helped us with a rude camper on site and handled the situation very professionally .Pitches were a good size and the showers and toilet block very clean . Hot showers were also very nice after a long days adventures . Would 100% recommend

Felt lovely and safe here just me and my dog staying at this friendly site.
I liked that it is not big, there are fire pits you can hire, the washroom facilities are decent and included.
I don't normally go for a site where I am given a pitch number as I prefer to chose. But I did this time and asked to be put on the edge if possible. I was pleased that my request was met and I was on the end.
Also it is in a beautiful area near the England / Wales border.
I put no stars for WiFi as I don't believe there was any. That was fine with me as I like to disconnect). (apols if I made a mistake though and there is WiFi).

Quiet location, good for visiting the British Ironworks. Back to basics site, fire pits allowed

Rules given on arrival, 3 pages on how to wash your hands in the bathroom, really. Found the owner a little unaccommodating. Allocated a pitch before arrival, asked to move to be near family, told we couldn't, friendly neighbouring camper offered to move, owner not happy, spoke to us like children. Not the nicest welcome. Cold shower one morning
