Exellent…great attention to detail with toilets and showers great walks and cycling down quiet lanes and towpaths from site

Such a lovely, well cared for site. From the friendly welcome as soon as we arrived, to the clean toilets and hot showers and the friendly chickens (very yummy free range eggs) we really enjoyed a nice relaxing couple of days. Even ice lollies in the little shop freezer which were perfect on a hot sunny day. Wish we could of stayed longer. Will definitely be back. Thank you x

Very friendly campsite owner, greeted with a friendly smile. There was a little fridge for guests to put their items in to keep cold and honesty box for ice creams etc. very peaceful site and pub within a 5 minute walk was also a bonus.

The only thing is that (due to weather ) it was too hot for us to have a bbq or camp fire so it made meal times a bit difficult unless we drove out for food etc. This is at no fault of the owner though she has to keep everybody safe, from what we saw there was not many shops in walking distance but within a 10 minute drive

Facilities are clean and tidy. Site was well maintained.
Host was lovely and we were greeted kindly with a smile, there was firewood available and some chocolate and an honesty box.
We were handed a leaflet with very basic site rules.

There is one bad review on here complaining about the strict rules, they are there for guests like you.
All rules are just common curtesy to others.

I haven't mentioned chickens yet!
They have friendly chickens roaming free!

Amazing service as always
The owner is extremely friendly and helpful and is always There to sort any problem out.
Having a fridge freezer on site is even better if you need your food frozen or chilled
The sand pit and the ability to feed the chicken n ducks is a bonus for the kids

A lot of rules. Ran by a josworth. Not the most relaxing environment. Not enough bathrooms. Expensive.

The site was lovely, easy to find with clear directions and Google maps took us there too, location was perfect. The pitches were flat and easy to peg in, they were large and spacious. It was quite windy during our stay but felt sheltered from it by the wildlife area.
Had a lovely warm welcome. We hired a fire pit and it was put by our pitch with logs, matches, kindling etc. the house had lots of bits for sale using an honesty box and a fridge/freezer in there too. Toilets and showers were clean all the time. I liked the notice board with information and lots of leaflets.
Really lovely site and we’ll definitely visit again when visiting family in the area.
