Pleasant site on the edge of the village. Flat pitches. Lovely aspect over an open field on one side and the historical brewery on the other. Decent facilities.

It was made clear on the information sent out on email that the site was unmanned and all the information to use it was given. However it was a very busy bank holiday weekend on the site seemed full. Because of this it did seem like it was necessary for someone to empty the bins in the toilets and perhaps replace the paper towels and just give it a quick clean even someone just casually for such a busy weekend.

We were on pitch nine but according to one of our neighbours pitch 10 had been double booked. Because of this one of those vans was well over onto our pitch. They had tried to email and use the phone number provided for some help and guidance but as above there is no one available whatsoever to try and sort this out. They had also plugged into our hook-up (although they had actually plugged into number 6 on the same supply without realising it). I pointed out to them that if somebody arrived on pitch six that would be their supply. Had pitch six been occupied before as I am quite sure the double booking would’ve plugged into ours and then it would have been awkward and we had done nothing wrong by arriving on our pitch number nine despite being pretty much occupied by the neighbouring van. I think this could have proved very difficult for us despite us having done nothing wrong and turned up onto our very reduced and squeezed out pitch and, as the couple next door tried but were unable to contact anyone, I think it could have proved an unpleasant situation.

Despite one of the double bookings next door telling us the campsite was fully booked, nobody arrived on page 6. Therefore I believe that was the issue between the two next to us. Had somebody been available to answer the phone or email to sort this out then one of them could have moved and the issue been resolved and we could have had our full pitch. as it stood we were sandwiched between a tent and a van and got half a pitch, which doesn’t seem very fair as the double booking was nothing to do with us and we were in our correct pitch. For this reason I wouldn’t recommend it to our friends. I appreciate bank holidays may be an exception where no staff are available but it did make it difficult.

I realise everyone wants bank holiday weekend off but this is a this is a business with services provided.

Again, as above the site was fully booked and assistance was required but none was available.

Nice open site there is a working brewery so they do start work early but is a nice alarm clock compared to your normal alarm clock
All the info get sent to you and you just get left to your own devices showers w/c are clean

Not a lot... The view was nice. Showers were hot, the 3.. yes 3 pitches I had over the 4 days were level( ish). The other campers/ vanners were friendly and helpful thankfully as the people in charge are the worst I've ever met in over 30+ years of using campsites

Started off ok but changed fast. A mate booked us a 2 night stay /brewery tour through the site directly. I'm physically disabled and realised the brewery has very steep stairs,I told the nice man who was doing the tour I'd not be able to do it, he told us to contact Tasha and she would either refund the tour price or give me credit for the brewery shop.. I said odds on the steps will be mentioned in the small print but nothing stated on pitch up app. However I'd take credit as I was going to spend way more than £10 in the shop regardless. My friend emailed about the tour refund, but I was unaware of the response and the attitude of Tasha or I certainly wouldn't have extended my stay! Within the first hour of our stay 4 different campers approached us and the neighbours wanting to know the toilet code/ and to check contact details of the site as they'd also NOT been given relevant details e.g pitch numbers/ toilet codes but couldn't get a response from management. One woman had driven hours with her 2 dogs and had to sit in her van for a long time before she managed to get sorted, she was angry as that's the last thing you need.Numerous people said this mismanagement has been happening since after covid, one woman said yesterday she hates staying there as it happens every time but isn't in charge of booking and they always make out they've sent emails and "welcome pack".when they haven't .We also received 2 snotty emails (Tasha)stating they'd sent the code in the email etc...they hadn't and yes we checked the spam box! My friends left but I'd met some new friends and decided to extend my stay, through pitch up I was unaware of the staffs attitude until after. I wasn't sent the new pitch number. So at 12.15 pm I rang the site phone numbers, left numerous voice messages on every number/ emailed. ,I was fully packed up waiting for a call back. I ended up walking ( physically disabled. Plus 2 new knee replacements) and waiting until 2 pm for it to open. I was greeted by 2 nice staff, I was in obvious pain and was told I could sit down . I showed the nice lady with shoulder length hair ( brown hair) pitch up details sends and she agreed with me and emailed about it.i was told the 2 women that run the camp site weren't in, one gone home to sort her kids out and the other was off so was " winging it" didn't understand the computer layout. I'd been allowed to pay for 3 days but it had a red bar on it. I was given pitch 22. I drove around aimlessly,went back and said No pitch 22,she walked the field and clarified I was right. She spoke to the ' big boss " and he to go on 19 and plot 2 the day after. 3 hours to sort this!! No apology..nothing.I had to re set back up and slept the rest of the day due to pain. I moved to plot 2 lots pain so stayed in bed all day.I came out to be told, staff were looking for me andshouldn't be there.nobody had been to camper I told him I'd already moved 3 times in 4 days and would move, a staff member came and we sorted everything ( I had lost a day due to being in pain and stress of the mismanagement) my phone reception came back onas I left and saw missed calls/text and a threat to tow my van off! And bill me! Strange that their phones work when they want! I then spoke to another 5 campers, all having the same issuesand worse, one had been previously and had the same back then too.disabled block furthest away. Showers mouldy/ curtains too short,floor wet through, and cleaned once in 4 days, also pointed out by another camper. Fresh water area disgusting. Floor level drain broken and dangerous trip hazard. New field pitches get water logged and you have to get a tow off. Riverside but can't walk along. Shop expensive. Staff said they're short staffed and there would be no staff over the weekend and they really need more campsite management as it's not their role. I said the 9 people I'd spoke to had already worked that out and Tasha seriously needs lessons in people skills...worst site ever!

We liked the easy going management of the site, which whilst being relaxed was very efficient. We found the facilities ideal and the location ideally placed within the small town of Wainfleet.
The pitch was grass and well spaced from neighbouring visitors.
The opportunity of a brewery tour for some is an added attraction.
We will certainly return on a future trip through Lincolnshire.

Nothing really stands out as being something which would stop us returning.

Shower curtain too short so the water goes onto the floor leaving it quite wet.
Toilets and showers not cleaned in 3 days we were there and bins were full in toilets.
Quite noisy early morning due to brewery workers across the road from site.
If these issues were sorted would stay again.
