Non-electric grass campervan, tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Lovely laid back site. Enjoyed swimming in the river, sitting around a camp fire and good communication via msg from the camp staff.
Disliked It would be nicer if the showers were separate from the toilets. Would be good to be able to hire fire pits.

Non-electric grass pitch (no pets, wild)
Liked Love Walesby. Massive site, friendly staff, loads of space, brilliant activities available
Disliked It would be useful to have more information about the activities such as age ranges on the flyer they hand out and information about where some of the evening events are such as the kids disco

Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked Gorgeous tranquil site with a beautiful shallow river running through it which the kids just loved. Option to have a fire pit and the bar was open for some of the time we were there. Kids were very well provided for. Hot water for washing up was available and also a fridge and freezer. Site staff were friendly and helpful.
Disliked A few people have mentioned lack of cleanliness of the toilets in their reviews. I think they were mostly ok - I’ve certainly seen worse - although the cubicles are pretty small.

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked This is a very relaxed camp site, close to local amenities and pubs. The owners are happy for you to light a fire and there's even a big pile of free wood. Despite the advert on pitch-up, there are hot showers available. It was a very enjoyable stay
Disliked The road up to the campsite is very potholed and I saw some drivers struggle to get up it (more through nerves than the car getting stuck). There wasn't a regular cleaning service so the toilets/showers didn't get a daily clean.

Liked Lovely little campsite with a great play area for the kids and a well-equipped shop. We enjoyed the short walk across the fields to the micro-brewery pub and it was great that we could hire a fire pit.
Washing up and toilet/shower facilitites were in good working order and clean. We had a great time.

Non-electric grass pitch (large, no pets)
Liked An awesome site, perfect for families with pre teen kids. Lovely big site - not too far from toilets, which were clean.
We were able to have a camp fire and the site provided massive oil barrel fire pits. (Big car needed to take them to your pitch).
Really great activities to do for kids from the age of five - climbing, cave maze, low ropes, lazer tag and kayaks etc. Make sure to take closed toe shoes that can get wet (not crocs). Prices were very reasonable for £20/ day.
Staff were friendly, well trained and had lots if energy.
We’ll be back
Disliked It would be useful to have advice on what kids need to wear for activities on the website and for the times and place of the evening activities to be available. (The camp fire isn’t marked on the map)

Liked Nice flat pitches, very family friendly, good showers. The kids enjoyed the animals. Option to hire fire pits.
Disliked The washing up area had a very low sink and only cold water. A play area for kids would be welcome.

Non-electric forest floor tent pitch (woodland)
Liked Big site in a nice village with a farm shop, local pub and cafe. We stayed in the woods, which were beautifully quiet. The composting toilets and the gas showers were very clean and pleasant.
The animals were nice and it’s nice to stay somewhere that’s a not for profit organisation that cares about the local community.
Disliked It’s an expensive campsite with costs for additional extras. It’s £12.50 just for permission to have a fire. They don’t provide fire pits or anything so that’s just to make a fire on the ground. They then like you to buy another campfire package for logs, so it’s £25 just to have a campfire. They also charge if you to take rubbish away.
There’s lots of rules and regulations. They even have a list of previous incidents posted on the log cabin doors! And many of the staff were unhelpful and ‘prickly’. There’s no playground as such, just kind of fairy trail with some ride ons.

Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked An awesome boutique campsite. Beautifully landscaped with natural grass separating the pitches. Each pitch has a ready made fire area with wood available in the lockers. The site has a fridge and a freezer! And….an adorable coffee hut selling drinks, and snacks. The toilets and showers were clean, cosy and gorgeously designed. I would highly recommend it - eapecially for a romantic couples getaway.
Disliked There is a play kitchen and table football for kids, but not he site lacks a swing/play area.
