Non-electric grass campervan pitch
Liked Large field short walk from Cookley. Seemed quite pricey for a field with only facilities being portaloo and water but it was in the location I needed and cheaper than Wolverley and allowed and one night stay - so in short, met my needs!
Disliked Grass was quite long underfoot so damp feet in the morning

Liked Flat large field, quiet, walks from site. Just one portaloo as advertised which was as clean as one expects.

Electric grass pitch
Liked Super friendly host with impeccable English and manners and he was happy to lend me a EHU cable as my own was not of sufficient length. Close to lovely walks. Being June there was no on site entertainment or catering but we had planned to be self sufficient. It was very hot when we stayed but there was a shady pitch available.

Electric optional hardstanding and grass touring pitch
Liked Open in December with views out to coast from large level pitch. Clean and hot showers. Wonderful dark skies. A torch is useful for after dark visits to facilities. Footpath across road for quick dog walk. Longer walks from site to Porthgain (The Sloop Inn) and Abereiddi (Blue Lagoon) and beyond on coastal path. Short drive to St David’s and Whitesands Bay. Good O2 signal.

Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch
Liked A HUGE site so didn’t feel too crowded. Great for group gatherings and free and easy launch access to the river for SUP, kayaking or a dip.
Good position for visiting local sites of interest.
Toilets/showers were clean and pleasant to use. I had EHU and water on pitch.
Disliked Not a dislike but for awareness, a longer than average EHU lead may be needed - I had to park “badly” half on grass and gravel to attach mine 😂.

From the manager: Thank you for choosing to stay with us and that you enjoyed yourself. I will check the length of cable required as on Pitchup it says "a cable measuring at least 5 metres is needed for the electric hook-ups " and if a longer length required this can be amended. We look forward to welcoming you again.

Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch
Liked Such a great place for a family stay. Pool, play park and cinema were perfect to complement visits to surrounding area and super clean toilets and showers and a well stocked and reasonably priced shop on top.
Disliked Nothing personally. For the very fussy, proximity to a road gave very occasional road noise but certainly didn’t bother us.

Non-electric grass campervan pitch
Liked There were wonderful 360 degree views! Plus… short walk to a really nice pub/restaurant (and you can order in advance to collect steaks to cook back at the site - which was delicious!), super walking from the site, drive to many attractions in the area, very friendly owners and much much space to roam and pitch. Very dog friendly. I was self contained so didn’t use the shower, which was a little way from the main pitching area, but used the composting toilets which I found to be clean and well stocked with loo roll. I would recommend this site if you like basic but adequate and clean facilities but place greater importance on a site surrounded by natural beauty and peace - but hurry before it gets too popular as the space was one of its big pluses for me!!

Non-electric grass campervan, tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked So peaceful, flat pitches, some with shade which was welcome! Surrounded by nature - had a visit from duck and ducklings and could hear the peacocks calling! Very quiet when I visited and toilets, showers and washing up area were very clean. Free WiFi had very good coverage. Dog walks from site, including a bustling pub, and short drive to nearby beaches. I loved it here and will return.

Non-electric grass campervan, tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked EVERYTHING!! Huge level pitches with fire pits, small site in terms of available pitches, Eco credentials including hot clean solar showers and 100% recycling facilities, proximity to costal path, beaches, farm shop and pubs, excellent public transport options, dog friendly, etc! Even my camper van neighbours were so lovely and the weather was perfect, although both are subject to change…!!
Disliked Nothing!!! For the extremely particular I will mention 2 things that others may not appreciate. There’s a very narrow bridge set on a bend nearby and helpful drivers will honk to warn other drivers. There’s also a local railway line and you can see and hear local trains rumble past. Both of these were charming in their own way and did not disturb me in any way, and naturally lessened/ceased during the night.

Non-electric grass pitch
Liked Friendly welcome, large level pitch. I didn’t use the showers but toilets were clean. Next to river for dog walks and short stroll into the centre for pubs, restaurants and shops. O2 mobile reception was good. No EH but water and Chemical Toilet empty available.

Pool view non-electric grass motorhome pitch
Liked Flat pitch, plenty of space with pleasant outlook. Easy access to canal for dog walks and pretty stroll into Whitchurch for pubs, bars, restaurants and all you’d need from a town. I stayed mid week and was very quiet. Near a busy road but I wasn’t disturbed by traffic noise. The shower and toilet facilities were immaculate and toasty warm. I didn’t need EHU but fresh water was available. Mobile signal for O2 was good.

Non-electric grass touring pitch
Liked Large level field and self selection of pitch. Was very secure with locked gates, opened and closed on demand by lovely gentleman who was also happy to give directions and offer advice and recommendations. Although self contained, I did use showers and toilets - both very good. I also used Chemical toilet disposal which was very clean. From the site there’s a level walk into Stratford along the old railway line taking a couple of hours. There’s also a largely off road walk to The Mason’s Arms serving good food, beer and other drinks (plus football was on if that’s your thing) A little traffic noise but not enough to bother me. Ps dog friendly too!
