Liked Such peace and quiet; Such beautiful surroundings; such a warm and friendly welcome from Les and Dan. With a babbling brook running down one side of the site, no light pollution, and loads for wildlife, this place is a true hidden gem. I hired the Badger yurt as a bit of an adventure for myself and the boys, and we all loved every minute. The yurt was thoughtfully equipped with all we could need for a long weekend away. Including bedding, towels, a log burner in the yurt, and a full camp kitchen. They have even included a number of LED candles for suitable ambience in the evening. Yes, there is no electricity, and very limited phone signal, but I knew this before booking, and was not a problem for me. The welcome extended by Les and Dan was warm and friendly, and the boys loved going to feed their farm animals in the morning, coming back afterwards to regale me with stories and tales of how they enjoyed themselves, whilst waving their claimed peacock feather and even an egg they were convinced they were going to hatch for their own chicken (spoiler alert, one egg got dropped - we christened it Humpty and said teary goodbyes). For those wanting to escape from it all, this is a perfect site, and I can't recommend it highly enough.

Liked Very friendly welcome. The pod is well equipped with everything needed for a weekend away, even bedding and towels. We were even provided with tea, coffee, firewood and marshmallows (which the boys loved toasting over the fire). Very peaceful and as this is a working farm, the horses would frequently come over to the fence to say hello (and scrounge a slice of apple or two). This was a great little find on the edge of the Peaks, and made a great base for a couple of days hiking in the local area.

Disliked The fridge was a little on the small side.
