Non-electric grass tent or motorhome pitch
Liked - outstanding views
-very peaceful
-pitch where you like so very spacious
-friendly host
-fair price
-tricky roads to get to, but the pay off is that it’s so remote
Disliked My only criticism is no bins. I’d happily pay a sub charge if it meant I didn’t have to lug my rubbish around all weekend.
I’d still return though, it’s a great site!

North Barrow, Somerset, England
Non-electric grass motorhome pitch
Liked -nice quiet location, surrounded by lots of country side & nature.
-laid back host; pitch wherever you want.
-huge field which is well maintained.
-VERY reasonably priced. Well worth the money.
Disliked The only criticism I have is
-it’s a little tricky to find. The satnav took us to a farm house & barns. We managed to find the site after carrying on down the road a little further.
-there isn’t any hand sanitiser in the loos- so make sure to bring your own.
We would definitely stay again!

Non-electric grass motorhome pitch
Liked -Before we even arrived we had great communication from host.
-upon arrival & throughout our stay the hosts were so welcoming & lovely.
-pitch anywhere which is our favourite kind of site as we like to be tucked away due to our dogs & kids.
-the most amazing views. At night time you see the isle of Portland lit up in one direction & then in the morning you get a lovely ocean view in another direction. Our kids loved watching the horses too.
-lots of taps so don’t have to go far for water & also a bin which a lot of pop up sites don’t provide- so that’s much appreciated.
-really reasonably priced.
We will definitely be back again!

Non-electric grass and earth pitch
Liked This campsite is not luxurious in anyway BUT it’s extremely laid & it’s not run with millions of rules. Which we love.
They charge per person, so you’re not limited within a small pitch.
The fields are huge, and you pitch where you like, so there’s a ton of space between other campers.
We went on a super hot bank holiday weekend, and it still wasn’t crowded.
So many campsites are soo strict & have so many rules to follow- which I’m sure suit some campers- but this campsite is so chilled. They don’t even have a check out time!!
The kids were able to run around the fields and play games. One of our dogs can be quite hard work in busy settings; but he was sooo chilled the whole time as it was spacious.
We will certainly be back when we’re back in Somerset!
Disliked The only thing that was not a highlight, was the sawdust toilets. But then it does suit the rustic vibes of the campsite.

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked -lovely host- Sophie was laid back, friendly & extremely helpful.
-lovely big field. Even during the summer holidays; still huge, huge spaces between tents.
-great views
-great for families/groups. It’s a noisy campsite- but I prefer that over campsites where everyone has to be in bed by 10pm! It has a great atmosphere. One of the campers had a projector on his van, and everyone on site was welcome to bring up a chair & watch some films.
- it’s the sort of campsite where the kids all make friends & run around together with a football. Where there is groups of friends laughing around campfires.
We enjoyed it so much, we stayed for an extra night.
Disliked There’s nothing I can fault. It’s not luxurious, but that’s part of the charm.

Honiton, Devon, England
Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked It’s very rustic, it’s literally just a field. But that’s why we loved it. It’s has so much space for the kids to run around, and also our very well behaved jack Russell. The scenery was beautiful all around. We saw so many lovely birds. As soon as we pulled into the field there was a buzzard near us! At night the stars came out, and we felt so at peace. The farmer is very lovely, and made us feel very welcomed. Our bbq wouldn’t light so we got a take away delivered to the field.
Disliked The obvious downside is no toilet, but it also adds to the rustic side of it
