Electric optional grass pitch
Liked Good location close to town centre. Decent sized pitches, clean and tidy site, clean toilets and showers - although not enclosed so assume they might be cold in cooler temperatures. Close to very well stocked supermarket.
Disliked Chemical disposal point needs cleaning and updating - not pleasant using this.

From the manager: Merci à vous d'avoir laissé votre avis. Vous avez raison de souligner que le local pour vider les wc chimiques est un peu vieillot. Nous prenons votre remarque en compte pour l'améliorer par la suite. Nous prenons en compte également tous les points positifs de votre séjour! Au plaisir! Emilie

Electric hardstanding touring pitch
Liked Very professional site setup. Shop, restaurant, outside cafe, information centre. Ideal for the majority of potential users. Water, service block and rubbish bins very close to pitches. Caters very well for both a transient visit and a longer stay. Ideal location for Ben Nevis, Glen Nevis and Fort William
Disliked Free WiFi not usable in busy periods

Electric optional gravel and hardstanding touring pitch
Liked Small site but very well equipped. All of the site, including the toilets and showers, are spotless. High site security and might suit single female campers. Good quality and wide pitches with metered electricity ( very useful for camper vans and low use ). Friendly and informative owner living on site. Approach lanes need some care due to sharp bends and fast local drivers. Small playpark, pitch and putt would suit youngsters.
Disliked Nothing

Non-electric grass campervan, tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Stayed on the grass pitches with a campervan. Scenic site with a small river flowing mid camp. Very generous pitch size with rope borders. Basic but clean toilet block and showers. However it would be helpful to have a seat or stall in the shower cubicles otherwise its hard to dry feet since floor is wet. Laundry and kitchen wash rooms in the block. Roads in are a maze of very narrow, high hedged lanes with some very sharp bends and steep hills and need careful negotiation and backing skills if anything else is approaching. Only small and medium campers suitable since limited road width and low clearance under some trees could cause issues. Each pitch has a firepit and this can make the local area very smoky if all in use. There is no chemical waste emptying facilities so care needs to be taken if this is needed during the stay. Same for grey waste. No wifi and very limited mobile signal. Digital TV no problem. Pitches are chosen on arrival and this is convenient to find a suitable spot. However if in a campervan it is best to leave an awning up ( or similar ) otherwise if away for the day it could be taken on your return. Overall, in our opinion, it is probably more suited to tents than campervans.

Electric optional gravel touring pitch
Liked Great site. Very friendly hosts
Great location on working farm at the top of a hill that gives wide country views. Marked dog walks from pitch area. Pip the friendly farm dog often joins. Our cockerpoo loved him.
Very generous, mostly level, gravel pitches with good spacing. Card electricity supply at all pitches and drinking water taps close to most pitches. Laundry room and pot wash area. Floor drain grey water dispose. Good wifi at our pitch.
Very clean and warm toilet/shower rooms. ( one possible suggestion is to change fixed shower heads to directional shower heads to avoid having to get hair wet during a shower )
Fish and chip van visits on Saturdays and a local pub offers food & drink ( about 15 mins walk ). Free range eggs available every day in the laundery room fridge.
Would definitely like to stay again

Electric optional grass and gravel touring pitch
Liked We loved the site - good pitches, flat, dry and well maintained, in a woods location.
Only sound in the morning is birdsong
Clean toilet and shower block
Occasional shop
Hire of fire pits, sale of logs etc way back
good access to chemical water disposal
laundry and plate wash facilities
6A electrical hook-up + 1 drinking water + tank water tap shared between 2 pitch
reasonable mobile reception + internet ( 02 )
small entrance lane from village or A38 only allows a single motorhome or caravan so some caution / backing may be needed
very friendly manager - Laura - onsite if any problems
good text based directions + information sent prior to stay
Pub - 20 minutes walk for good beer and food but steep uphill on way back to site
site is comprehensive with motorhome, camper, caravan, wild tenting and glamping huts / tents

Lancaster, Lancashire, England
Seafield fully-serviced hardstanding and grass touring pitch
Liked quiet site - April 2022 - only 5 other campers.
No onsite person available but we received good text details on entry and pitch number and contact details if needed
No onsite shop but local garden centre ( about 10 mins walk ) has a nice cafe.
Stayed on electric hook-up pitch and had a dedicated water tap - very handy!
Pitches were very wet with standing water on ours and slightly narrow so collected a lot of mud just getting in/out of the camper.
However we had a lot of rain during our stay and this may improve in drier weather although we think the pitches could do with resurfacing in the near future.
Toilet/ Shower were excellent - very new and very clean and warm and also had a laundry with coin operation. However a fair walking distance on a muddy driveway from the furthest pitches.
Chemical waste disposal was an external toilet in the toilet block
We didn't find a grey waste disposal point although we may have missed this.
Virtually no O2 mobile signal or wifi reception -although only 3 miles from Lancaster. Other mobile providers may be better
Overall a good site and we enjoyed our stay despite the poor weather

Electric hardstanding touring pitch
Liked Great location, quiet, well sized pitches backing onto small river and forest views
Shame - so much damage to trees from storms last year still evident
Good walks directly from site - up the hill behind site and onto forest drive ( rough track road )
Friendly and helpful owner.
O2 mobile + mobile Wi-Fi had good reception.
No onsite shop so take suitable quantities of food and gas otherwise a fair journey to replace or stock up.
Well located water, drinking water and chemical waste disposal.
2 washroom + kitchen facilities - well presented and clean
