Liked Tidy site, close to Austwick, Clapham and Settle. Electric and water supply for each pitch. Footpath close by for dog walks.

Liked View of the lake. Pitches well screened. Friendly staff. Good on-site restaurant. Lovely clean beach at the lake and enjoyed swimming. Clean facilities. Good little supermarket a 10 min walk. Good wi-fi which was free. Lovely path around lake for dog walks.

Disliked Not a problem, but if the 3 old empty caravans etc were removed from this site would be even lovelier.

Liked Great location on the edge of beautiful village, central for many walking trails. Small site, quiet when we were there in June, pity we were not staying in July or August when guests have use of a lovely looking pool next door. Very friendly couple who run the site and facilities spotlessly clean. Good brasserie in the village. Good WiFi, had to pay extra but site good value for money so did not mind.

Liked Location on (in) the lake

Disliked Building work was going on at entrance but no signs or anyone to show where to go. Tried another entrance then another camper gave us the barrier code. Still no obvious reception, another camper gave us info, found temporary office - closed. Rang helpline, no answer. Eventually found a nice young man who showed us the pitches available. All were boggy and flooded and we knew heavy thunderstorms were due so we decided not the stay. We were told the washing machine was unavailable, the facilities were very basic and the site was unloved.

Liked Very good sized and well screened pitches . Quiet site, very clean facilities and friendly staff. Lots of walks and bike tracks on your doorstep.

Disliked Had to pay for Wi-Fi but this was very good and because the pitch costs were good value we did not begrudge paying.

Liked Good sized pitch, screened by bushes. Facilities very clean. Nice and quiet site. Good value.

Disliked Wi-Fi was intermittent, electric went off twice think capacity was at the limit as site was busy. Although snacks were advertised no food was available and the bar closed at 7pm prompt. I know we all have to save water but I must have lost 20 minutes of my life filling our water tank, pressing those infernal push-release taps and trickling water pressure. Arrival was a nightmare, told off for parking at the barrier and blocking the entrance but there were no signs and nowhere to park without blocking in parked cars.

Liked Booked a premium fully serviced pitch and it was superb, plenty of room and green views. Bar and restaurant was excellent and facilities were very clean.

Liked Our pitch at the top of the field was quiet and had wonderful views. Friendly owners. Spotless facilities. Short walk to pubs, (good food) and shops.

Liked Very spacious and flat pitches, excellent and spotlessly clean showers and WCs. Whole site is very well kept and quiet, no road noise etc. Friendly owner. Fishing pond is about 5 foot deep; 3 foot of water and 2 foot of fish!

Liked Spacious and flat pitches, well maintained grounds and facilties. Very clean toilets, showers etc. Warm friendly welcome from the owners. Very good location close to several market towns, Castle Howard etc and not far from York or the coast. Walking distance to friendly pub and sports club in beautiful village. Many walks and cycle tracks and even a bus stop close by.

Liked Very good sized and positioned pitches, immaculately clean facilities. Never thought I would say this but the fishing was too easy! Good location next to lovely town and a network of long-distance cycle paths.

Liked Well kept, quiet site convenient for York and the A64 to Ryedale and the coast. Staff were friendly and helpful. Fishing was brilliant in the well stocked pond!
