Fantastic site, friendly and accommodating staff and plenty of things to do on and around the site. We had a brilliant time with our two young children, especially enjoyed pizza night and the live singer who had all the children up and dancing. Also the only site we’ve camped on where the trail to the toilets was beautifully lit and had an obstacle course along side it just for that extra bit of excitement.

The smell of the lake/pond but it wasn’t a deal breaker

Decent size pitch, clean facilities, bar and restaurant served decent quality food and drink, and it was served quickly

The zip line needs a stopper on both ends, managed to launch my son into the timber post at one end, he was raging and had a massive lump on his head

Really enjoyed our stay. So much to love about the site. Toilets and shower block new and kept clean. The restaurant, bar area and pizzas were great.

Camped in a group and were not in the best spot. We were in a far part of the field in one line so no area to sit together or for the kids to play. So many great spots in the main field were everyone can sit together and watch the kids play so I guess just really unlucky. Half the pitches opposite each other would have been better. Not sure if there is any way of requesting which pitches you get as that would make a difference for booking again.

They accommodated our Group of 4 families so our pitches were all together. Cool, spacious area for washing dishes.

Bush button showers, unable to alter temperature and water only ran for short time before needed to press the button again.
Offered fire pit hire but no option to hire a bbq, so you'll need to bring your own.
Staff at the campsite reception could have been more friendly

The team work exceptionally hard and are always friendly and approachable. The bar and restaurant have a great holiday vibe with regular entertainment and activities including happy hour. Great for dogs. Good location with lots to explore locally.

This could be an amazing site and judging by the amount of people who have recommended it over the years - it really could be. We were looking forward to coming having never been and actually stayed twice within one fortnight. Sadly, however, the camping facilities are a bit tired and limited particularly when compared to other places that charge the same. Shame to have to pay extra for activities (specifically soft play and crazy golf). No other activities were available to book including fishing much to the kids disappointment- assuming we left this too late but perhaps could’ve had a reminder before arrival . The play area had broken trampolines and wasn’t really enough for the children we had with us. The toilets were continually blocked (we felt very sorry for the staff dealing with this) and these did not feel sufficient for the number of campers over what was a very packed weekend. No sooner had toilets and showers been cleaned they were filthy again. Only two washing up sinks which you had to queue for - these were often left dirty by other campers. It wasn’t ideal to have to queue to use the toilet- thankfully we had our own but our friends and family didn’t . Sporadic temperature in the shower-afternoons were better. Pitches were quite small. No drive over grey waste drain.

Good sized pitch, friendly staff and plenty to do on site. A great location to head out and explore from. Grounds were well kept and the kids enjoyed the playground area

Showers had issues with hot water on 2 or the 3 nights of our stay which meant luke warm showers. The staff did deal with the issues, but this detracted from our experience.

The field we stayed in was ok. Not far from most things. It was good that we could hire a fire pit. Staff were friendly. Lovely pub.

Unfortunately the toilet block is very old looking. Shower cubicles are very small. As much as they were cleaned there’s mould in the showers. The toilets smell and also a smell of septic tanks near the pub. Also I thought a bit pricey for food and drinks.
