The site is beautiful and well maintained. We were given a few different pitches to choose from. The owners were very friendly and gave a brief overview of the area. We didn’t used the communal area, but we had a look inside and it was lovely, with some nice little touches. The weather was extremely wet (nothing to do with the site obviously); however, we still took a nice walk around the mere the along the canal, the view are spectacular.

For us there were some disappointing elements:
1. The facilities were OK, they could do with a deep clean though. We would also prefer paper hand towels or a hand dryer, rather than a towel which multiple people have used. The towel was changed each day, but still, it’s not very hygienic.
2. There are only two toilets and two showers each (two for women and two for men), considering the size of the site, we felt there should be more.
3. The number of dogs. We appreciate lots of people have dogs nowadays (sometime multiple dogs), however there should be a limit on the number on one site, at times it became incredibly noisy when they all started barking at each other, or when you walked past.

One of the nicest sites we’ve stayed at. Hosts were very accommodating and helpful. Facilities were amazing. Location next to Colemere lake was lovely, had a lovely walk to Ellesmere. Dogs loved it as much as we did. Dave gave us the choice of pitches available, hard to choose as all were fab! Will definitely return.

Unfortunately a group of three came, one of which didn’t arrive until very late, and were setting up from 11pm to midnight and were quite noisy. Not the owners fault

100’s spiders in the showers/ toilets not to be helped but wasn’t pleasant

Everything from the hospitality to the facilities to the site itself. Amazing place. I’ve now camped as well as stayed in the yurt and there isn’t a single fault with all experiences other than I wish I could have stayed longer.

Facilities - super clean toilets and showers. Lovely indoor kitchen area with fridge, kettle microwave and seating, if needed and. Location - lovely walks from the site. Friendly owners.

The campsite was well spread-out and the facilities were good and always clean. The communal area was lovely and def an added bonus to the site. We didnt use it as we have everything but very useful to have a fridge, microwave and toaster etc for everybody to share.
