This was our second visit! It’s beautiful. We have said we will return each year. It’s beautiful and scenic, quiet. Close to lovely walks and the lake is gorgeous. The site is well equipped! There’s a lovely communal area that has tables and sofas and a kitchen. Microwave, toaster, kettle, tv. It’s so well stocked and presented. It’s clean and tidy, well maintained. There’s toilets and showers which are kept spotless and checked. The owners are so lovely too! Nothing is too much bother. They’re welcoming and friendly. This is a gem we have found and we will keep returning. Can highly recommend for adults looking to get away and enjoy nature and peace and quiet.

Very quiet on weekdays. Owners didn't intrude to much, just simply offered supplies and information - very good. Accessible even for my car which is sporty and low. No kids allowed which is perfect!

Got a little busy on weekend - though i will say everyone respected the quiet after 10pm rule.

The campsite was very peaceful and beautiful. Felt very welcome when we arrived, we received a map following a tour of the area by Dave, lovely shower facilities, will definitely visit again.

The site is beautiful and quiet. The owners are really nice and welcome you on arrival. They visit and check if you need anything. They have a communal sitting area which is great. We didn’t use it as the weather was nice but other campers did and dogs can sit in too. We hired a fire pit and sat outside each night. The facilities are nice and clean. Plenty of bins dotted around.

The toilets have barn doors on and the the dishwashing area was directly outside the women’s toilets less than a meter away from you sitting on the loo. It’s a bit of putting with people chatting and washing dishes. Not very private. But nice and clean. It may not bother many might be just me. Not a major issue

Two night stay here .. this rustic beautiful place is a perfect stay .. very welcoming and clean .. they really have gone the extra mile to make the stay enjoyable and chilled.
Will book again for sure ..

Stunning location.
Lovely walks straight from the site. The site is spotless and very well maintained. The site owners work extremely hard and are were visible throughout our stay.

We chose an EHU by the pond (which is lovely). Perfect we thought until we realised it was the thoroughfare for the toilets etc facilities. Instead of walking round the outskirts, campers were walking by the side of our motorhome.
So close, on occasions when we had our door open, we thought they were going to come in! Lack of courtesy is not the site's fault but maybe a couple of signs can be placed near pitches when they are occupied.

Friendly welcome and given a choice of pitches. We actually had a field to ourselves for several nights which our dogs loved. We had terrible weather for a few days but there was no problem with the ground around the pitch. Fantastic walks around Colemere lake straight out of the campsite and also along the canal to Ellesmere. Clean hot showers and a great shared area.
