Whether your preferred holiday mode is fiestas in Benidorm (25 minutes' drive) or siestas on one of Calp's sandy beaches (20 minutes' walk), you can get it at Marysol Camper Park Calpe, a terrific tourers-only hardstanding site within easy strolling distance of Spain's Mediterranean coast.
This secure Costa Blanca site is in a quiet location around a kilometre from the centre of town, within a few minutes' walk of a well-stocked supermarket. And while it's certainly easy to get out and about, leisure facilities like an outdoor pool, wifi and a chiringuito-style bar may all tempt you to stick around. From a more practical perspective, there's also the site's waste disposal point, a well-maintained bathroom block (with full disabled access) and a laundry room equipped with an ironing board and iron.
Nature fans will have a lot to keep them entertained at Marysol Camper Park Calpe, which is about a kilometre from salt flats where you can watch the visiting flamingos, herons and wading birds that appreciate its sheltered location. Penyal d'Ifac Natural Park (30 minutes' walk) is unmissable – literally, as it's visible for miles around, including on site – and is home to lots more local wildlife.
All those outdoor attractions make for excellent days out with dogs, so it's just as well that four-legged friends are welcome at Marysol Camper Park Calpe.

Local attractions
Calp (20 minutes' walk) has become a holiday hub for those who love the outdoors. You could spend your stay here cycling on or off-road through the local countryside, snorkelling off the coast and exploring the Costa Blanca's rich undersea worlds, kayaking around the town's marina or climbing up the huge rock formation in the middle of Penyal d'Ifac Natural Park.
Other seaside spots in the local area worth visiting include Altea (15 minutes' drive), where you can choose between long beaches and seafront bars or sleepy backstreets in the hilltop old town. Inland, Benissa (20 minutes) is also not to be missed – come and snap photos of its magnificent medieval buildings or plonk yourself in a plaza for a laidback afternoon of people-watching.
Further afield, there's Benidorm (25 minutes), a town best-known for its nightlife. There's more to the place than just a lively club scene, though – zoos, waterparks and city centre segway tours are just a few of the activities you can get up to here during the daytime, while just out of town there's also Terra Mítica theme park (30 minutes).
