If you like the outdoors, nature and visiting cultural sites like castles and estates, take up your rightful place in the playfully laid out pitches at RCN Vakantiepark Het Grote Bos in Doorn. Based in Het Grote Bos, the pitches at this site are spacious enough that you'll have lots of privacy while still being able to meet other guests. This is a stunning spot for outdoor holidays… You might not think of hills when you think of the Netherlands, famed for its flat lands, but RCN Vakantiepark Het Grote Bos is a scenic and green woodland park set among the forests, moorlands and large estates of the Utrecht Hill Ridge. Tackle the ridge on foot or by bike; the site hires out commuter bikes, mountain bikes and electric bikes so that guests can get out into the sandhill surroundings. You could even pedal along to Utrecht, which is 16 kilometres away from the site along the (mainly flat) Arnhemse Bovenweg. This is also a spectacular site for families, as during high season, there is a heated outdoor pool with spectacular slides and a separate paddling pool with stacks of water toys. Kids can let off steam in the spacious sandy playground with a sandpit, climbing frame and tyre swing. There are loads of outdoor sports on site too, including miniature golf, bowling, tennis and BMXing on the purpose-built track. Football lessons are available, and the site also has a fossil field, nature pond and a survival course. Even fussy guests should be satisfied with the dining options: a restaurant and snack bar are open seven days per week in school holidays. There's a supermarket open during peak season, and freshly baked bread is available every morning.

Liked: De plek waar wij stonden. Op plek 1046. De kleine man kon naar de speeltuin terwijl wij bij onze tent konden blijven zitten en hem toch in de gaten hadden. Ook zaten we dichtbij het het zwembad, toiletgebouw, winkel en de recepties.

Disliked: En waren weinig activiteiten buiten het hoogseizoen. Erg jammer voor kleine kinderen.

Liked: Everything about the site was perfect. It was clean presentable and reasonably priced. The staff were always happy to help. The site felt very secure also. It was a fantastic place i will be visiting again

Liked: Die Anlage ist super schön gestaltet, großzügige Stellplätze und den Wasserpark fanden die Kinder auch toll. Die Sanitärhäuser waren sauber und modern. Die Idee vom Kidsclub-Pass war toll! Die Spielplätze waren auch super. Toll ist auch das es Familienduschen gibt. Wir kommen wieder und dann gerne länger :)

Disliked: Die Duschen laufen nur 5min wenn man die Karte aktiviert und dann muss man erstmal länger warten bis man neu aktivieren kann. Fände 8min besser.

Liked: Me gustó la situación de las parcelas dentro de la naturaleza rodeada de arboles que nunca había visto en ningún otro camping. Volvería otra vez algún día.

Disliked: Las duchas con el tiempo que no se puede controlar , ese es un pero. Yo me gustaria controlar parando el botón cuando se esta enjabonando.

Liked: El espacio de las parcelas es bastante amplio y de césped.El camping está en un bosque. Los aseos y duchas muy limpios. En el restaurante cenamos muy bien. En recepción muy amables. El supermercado tiene lo necesario, bastante completo. El snakbar también estuvo bien. En general, increíble todo.

Liked: Ein schöner großer Campingplatz im Wald für wenig Geld. Sauber und gepflegt! Vor allem unserem Kleinsten mit 6 Jahren hat es dort gut gefallen. Das Schwimmbad ist toll! Man kann von dort aus Ausflüge nach Amsterdam, Utrecht, Rotterdam etc. machen. Vor allem Utrecht war schön!

Disliked: Was mir nicht gefallen hat, war, dass man keinen eigenen Wasseranschluss hat. Man muss zu einer Wasserstelle laufen, um Wasser zu holen. Der war zwar nicht soo weit weg, aber genervt hat mich das trotzdem.

Liked: We really liked campsite de Grote Bos close to Utrecht in the Netherlands. Staying in the forest in a beautiful campsite with lovely amazing facilities and plenty to do for the kids was truly an amazing experience. The campsite has enough space for a number of people to stay on and the facilities are well equipped, and easy to reach. The kids are especially like the swimming pool and the big play areas to play in. The check-in process was easy and everything was well prepared upon our arrival.
