The Zanella family have been welcoming guests to the lovely Centro Vacanze Valdor, near Cavallino-Treporti, for three generations – and, as you can probably imagine, they’ve learned a thing or two over the years about how to keep their customers happy. It helps, of course, that this is an excellent location – the Veneto site spreads across 12 acres of land in a conservation area made up of maritime pine woods, and it’s got direct access to a long stretch of private sandy beach (with parasols and sun loungers available to hire). The local area is easy to explore by bike, and the nightlife of Jesolo isn’t far away. Oh, and there's the small matter of Venice (and its islands) being a short boat ride away, too… Not content to rely on location alone, however, the family have made sure to keep updating their facilities over the years. These days, that means guests have access to an outdoor pool area (with main pool, paddling pool, Jacuzzi and waterslide) that's open from mid-May to September, along with a playground, a pétanque court and a fitness room. Kids’ activities, sports tournaments and various entertainments are laid on throughout the summer too. Barbecues are allowed if you'd like to do a bit of outdoor cooking; alternatively, you can take a table at the restaurant, which has an enticing menu and a spacious terrace that also makes a lovely spot for a drink or two. Practical facilities also cover things like a launderette, a wifi connection and modern bathroom blocks with free hot water.

Mini electric grass tent pitch

Liked: È un piccolo campeggio e c'è tutto l'essenziale: Bagni puliti, e lavatrice (a pagamento), bar. Due piscine (una più grande e profonda; l'altra più piccola, adatta per i bambini piccoli, con acqua altra 40-50 cm e uno scivolo divertente per i bambini) Bella spiaggia (in parte anche libera). Ristorante vicino alla battigia con parco giochi. A 300 metri c'è un panificio-alimentari (il pane è buonissimo), a 5 minuti di macchina diversi supermercati (in ordine alfabetico:Crai, Despar, Eurospin, MD,Lidl) La nostra piazzola tenda era ben ombreggiata, sufficientemente grande per parcheggiare la macchina, piazzare la tenda e avere abbastanza spazio per stendere un grande telo davanti all'entrata. Il collegamento elettrico è incluso nel prezzo. Una volta alla settimana viene fatta la disinfestazione contro le zanzare (nonostante ciò, portatevi delle spirali e spray antizanzare, in questa zona è un problema comune) A distanza 5 minuti d'auto potreste prendere il vaporetto per Venezia (parcheggiate la macchina al "parcheggio da Bepy" costa poco, ombreggiato e bello ordinato)

Disliked: Durante il check-in non ci hanno spiegato nulla a parte la posizione della piazzola e gli orari di silenzio- fermo macchine. Mi sarei aspettato una piccola spiegazione sulla connessione internet, servizi proposti e la posizione dei supermercati, ristoranti e le attività da poter svolgere. Nella nostra piazzola il segnale della connessione internet era inesistente, spostandosi di qualche piazzola c'era e funzionava bene. L'abbiamo fatto presente più volte e abbiamo notato un certo disinteresse da parte della struttura (continuavano a darci bigliettini con le password, senza dare importanza al mancato segnale) La connessione cellulare in zona non è delle migliori, se avete bisogno di internet potrebbe essere un problema. Ci sono gli spruzzini per diminuire la polvere dato dal passaggio delle macchine, ma non è mai stato azionato in una settimana a di soggiorno. Non c'è alcuna attività di animazione per bambini.

Maxi electric grass and earth touring pitch

Liked: Es war für alle was drinnen, Im Pool konnte unser kleiner Sohn 2,5 Jahre sich austoben oder auch im Meer. Die Sanitäter Anlagen sind altbacken aber völlig in Ordnung. Der Strand ist schnell zu Fuß erreicht und super Sand. Der Strand ist sehr flach im Wasser was es für Kinder besonders geeignet macht. Das einzige was nicht so Positiv war, war das Internet leider wenig Netz und kein Funktionierendes W-lan und mal mit Oma und Opa zu Skype oder Face Timen. Aber Hey es ist Urlaub also Handy weg und die Zeit mit der Familie genießen. Der Bistro Wagen am strand war der Hit alles was man zur Abkühlung an Eis oder Getränken braucht.

Local attractions

A day out in the stunning city of Venice is a must, of course – or perhaps a couple of days? After all, it’s easy to get there by boat (half an hour’s trip) and there’s a lot to see and do, what with St Mark’s Square and Basilica, the Rialto Bridge, the Bridge of Sighs, the Guggenheim Museum, the Doge’s Palace, the Accademia gallery, all the churches, all the canals… And Venice isn't the only place you can get to by boat – you may also like to take trips to the other islands, perhaps to see the colourful houses of Burano (15 minutes away), the Basilica di Santa Maria Assunta on Torcello (20 minutes) or the famed glass makers of Murano (40 minutes). Something for the kids? The nearby towns of Jesolo and Lido di Jesolo (20 minutes) have plenty of attractions, including the Caribe Bay waterpark, Vidotto Military Historical Museum, Tropicarium Park and the interactive exhibits of La Fabbrica della Scienza.
