Liked: Wow, a wine lovers paradise. Waking up to the silence of the countryside and exceptional views over the endless fields of vines and olive trees was such a great feeling. Food and wine tasting from the farm was a delight, thank you. Stayed 3 nights but should have stayed more.

Liked: Vineyard views, dinner cooked by Nonna (home-made pasta). Handy for visiting Florence by train
Disliked: Pitches were small. The whole site was quite shabby. Poor wifi.

Liked: Beautiful location. Good facilities and the lovely farmer’s wife insisted on driving us to the train station for our visit to Florence. In the evening she made dinner and served wine made on the farm.

Liked: Locatie, staanplaats, ongelofelijk uitzicht. Vriendelijke ontvangst wel alleen in Italiaans maar de gastvrouw deed haar best. (Google translate heeft me goed geholpen:) ) Heerlijke wijnproeverij en lekker eten.
Disliked: Netheid van de douches.

Liked: Montaioncino is a truly authentic Tuscan experience, spearheaded by Nonna Daniela! It’s rustic, relaxed and great value. Facilities are basic, but Daniela and her family have an olive grove and vineyard from which they make their extra virgin olive oil and multiple wines. All of which are available to try and buy (at very reasonable prices). The best of all was that you can have your evening meals for €20 which includes (bread, prosciutto , a main course and three glasses of the vineyards wine). For a little extra you can have Nonna’s tiramisu as well! The view over the vineyard as the sun sets in the evening is unbelievable! The site is a short drive from Empoli station where you can get the train into Florence for €5. The car park there has CCTV and is €6 for the full day! We would highly recommend a trip to Montaioncino!
