- Quiet park with direct access to the golden sands of Spinasanta beach
- A 10-minute drive to Donnalucata fishing village and 15 to Scicli town
- Within 40 minutes’ drive of Sicilian Baroque towns Modica and Ragusa
Have a serene stay on Sicily’s sandy shores at family-friendly Campeggio Club Piccadilly, a site with direct access to Spinasanta beach for snoozy times with a sea breeze.
Post-nap, this section of the Mediterranean island’s coast is prime for paddling as the shoreline is sandy underfoot – no pebbles for swimmers to hobble across here – and slopes gently to help keep kids splashing safely in the shallow water. It forms part of a six-kilometre stretch of sand joining up with the beaches of Donnalucata, Micenci, Palo Bianco, Palo Rosso and Cava d’Aliga: a splendid prospect if long seaside wanders are on the agenda.
Need to sort barbecue eats after hikes or beach days? Off-ground grilling is permitted on site, so head to the supermarkets of Donnalucata, a 10-minute drive away, to shop for supplies; this small fishing village also has traditional trattorias if you'd prefer to fill up on pizza and pasta.
A promenade popular for sea-view strolls is also in Donnalucata, and there's further ambling to be had around a 10-minute drive away at the River Irminio nature reserve, a protected spot edged by sand dunes.
Back on site, amenities include a washing-up area, toilets and showers. Dogs are permitted at the park too and pick-up from public transport is available for those who don’t have their own wheels.

Local attractions
Drop in to Donnalucata (10 minutes' drive) for fresh seafood and artisan ice cream, then swing north towards the UNESCO-registered town of Scicli (15 minutes) to take in the views from an eye-catching setting surrounded by churches and monasteries sat on towering crags.
Once you've checked out the intricately carved faces on the palace of Palazzo Beneventano, near the pretty Piazza Italia, go on to other Sicilian towns known for their baroque architecture. A good place to start is Modica (30 minutes), for trips to the Cathedral of St. George and the chocolate museum, where you can dig into the area's history of making the sweet stuff.
At around 40 minutes’ drive, Ragusa’s a little further away but well worth the visit – stick this town on your to-do list for its hilltop setting and strolls to see the handsome stained-glass windows of the Duomo di San Giorgio. For memorable views, take a wander in the elevated Giardino Ibleo public park dotted with churches and fountains as well.
