Local attractions
If you’re able to stick around for a few days rather than rushing off to a ferry, there’s plenty to keep you busy around here. Perhaps you’d like to take the kids to see the exotic beasts at Attica Zoological Park (20 minutes’ drive), or soak up a little bit of history at the Archaeological Site of Brauron (10 minutes).
There are plenty of options for sea-based activities along this stretch of coast as well – including windsurfing, speedboat trips and scuba/snorkel tours to see what lies underneath the waves of the Aegean.
And of course, you may well want to fit in at least one trip to Athens – the city has heaps of things to keep visitors busy, whether you’re a first-timer looking to see the Acropolis, ancient market, Parthenon and Ancient Agora or an old hand finding new activities (a cooking class, perhaps, or a street art tour…). Check out the Designer Outlet Athens (20 minutes) too.
