Freizeitpark Klaukenhof

Liked Freie Platzwahl fand ich gut. Wir standen direkt am Spielplatz und hatten die Kinder immer im Blick. Gut war auch der Biergarten und der kleine Zoo mit Ziegen und Eseln. Auch die Gegend mit den Kanälen und Radwegen waren sehr interessant.

Liked A very pleasant and peaceful site with very good facilities. Staff were friendly and helpful. Out pitch was in a spacious area with electric hook up.

Liked Ein sehr schön und ruhig gelegener Platz. Werden ihn auf jeden Fall wieder ansteuern.

Disliked Leider fehlt eine Möglichkeit sich bei heißen Wetter (welches wir hatten) ein wenig ab kühlen zu können. Gerade für die Kinder! Ja der Kanal ist nur wenige Gehminuten entfernt aber abgesehen davon daß es wenn überhaupt nur geduldet ist dort zu schwimmen für Kinder einfach zu gefährlich ist mit dem Schiffverkehr. In dem toten Arm des Kanals fahren zwar keine Schiffe aber dort gibt es auch keinen wirklichen Zugang für Kinder zum Wasser und es wird direkt wie im Kanal üblich schnell tief.

Liked The location was good, plenty of choice of pitch. Thought the porter loos dotted about are a great idea.
Easy check in with the most laid back chap I've ever met.
The facilities are good and worth the €1 or €2 cost depending on which showers you use. I splashed out the €2 on the family showers which were great value.

Disliked Very large site which did fill up.
The bar /restaurant wasn't great rude and very abrupt staff.

Liked Location was good, nice area to explore. The site manager is very laid back but very helpful. Entertainment was good fun.
Level pitch and plenty of room.

Disliked Paying for showers…and washing machines are very old. Lady in the bar wouldn’t give any change and sometimes the site manager wasn’t available because he was recovering from the night before.
It is a turn up and find your own pitch place which is sometimes difficult with a bigger motorhome as stated on booking forms.

Liked We had a very warm and welcoming start to our stay. The staff are helpful and friendly. We could pitch our trailer tent anywhere we liked and it was quiet so we had lots of choice. The camping area is well maintained and there is electrical hookup everywhere , included in the price. The campsite is located in a very quiet area, close to canals and many cycle paths. We utilised both for days out, paddleboarding and exploring the area. You pay for hot water but its a fair price and. The showers and toilets are cleaned once a week but the German culture is very much tuy up after yourself, so it was reasonably clean all the time. They are also code entry so not fir use by the public, that helped.

Disliked Although we thought the portaloos dotted about were very clever, so you didnt have to walk to main toilets everytime. It would have been good for these to be cleaned and emptied as needed.
