  • Peaceful and scenic site in the Chartreuse Regional Natural Park
  • A 25-minute drive from Chambéry and 40 from Aix-les-Bains
  • Shop with basic supplies on site; barbecues are welcome
Explore the lovely landscapes of Savoie at Camping La Bruyère, a quiet site 25 minutes’ drive from the city of Chambéry in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. At the foot of the Chartreuse massif in Chartreuse Regional Natural Park, La Bruyère is in a prime spot for exploring this region of France on foot, by bike or in the car – the park is crisscrossed by a network of waymarked trails and attractive roads. Follow the Route des Savoir Faire to find liqueur makers, cheesemakers, artisan glovemakers and more, all ready to showcase their wares. Once you’ve tired yourself out, retreat to Camping La Bruyère for a sedate game of pétanque, to kick a ball around in the open spaces, or just to relax among the trees. A large building houses a fully refurbished toilet block, reception area and a common room with table football, games and books for rainy days. No doubt all the adventuring will make you feel peckish, so it's handy that you can pick up some bread, pastries and other basic supplies at the on-site shop. You can also grab morning coffees and teas on the terrace, or settle in for drinks and ice creams later on. Barbecues are welcome at La Bruyère, so feel free to light one up to cook your meal. If you fancy a break away from the campsite, there are restaurants to visit close to La Bruyère

Electric optional grass pitch

Liked Beautiful small site in the mountains. Nelly and Fred were the most lovely hosts, very friendly and welcoming. We were offered a choice of pitches which were all large, level and well maintained.
The facilities were fantastically modern and exceptionally clean. There is use of a washing machine as well as sinks specifically for hand washing which was a nice touch.
A large, comfortable barn style room with sofas, dining table, games along with fridge, freezer and cooking facilities was provided for campers to use which is a great idea especially when it’s raining.
Great kids play area and lots of open space.
WiFi available on the reception terrace.
Numerous walks and things to do and see within a short distance from the site. Only wished we could stay longer.
Will definitely return.

Electric optional grass pitch

Liked Everything! Nelly and Fred were very welcoming and super helpful from the moment we arrived. Fred fixed a cable adapter for us which was really kind. The campsite is beautiful, peaceful and offers great privacy. The ablutions block is modern and immaculately clean. There’s ample space on the site for children to play and all is incredibly well maintained. Highly recommended site to stay on.

Disliked There is absolutely nothing to dislike!

Campsite with everything you need, natural & tidy.

Electric optional grass pitch

Liked We very much liked the scenery, the beautiful surroundings, spacious pitches, the grounds are very well taken care of. Sanitary facilities are spic & span.

It’s quit, it’s rural. It’s exactly how a campsite should be. Close to nature & with a natural laid back vibe.

The campsite is very dog friendly.

The owners of the campsite are very positive, helpful and hospitable.

We immediately booked a pitch for our return trip!

Disliked A group of French people with loud kids were staying on another field of the campsite. Annoyed me a little, but this also had to do with the fact that I was dead tired from our Roadtrip.

A beautiful setting surrounded by high wooded cliffs. Highly recommend
