Liked: Great driftwood display throughout, excellent bar/restaurant with a great band playing, clean facilities, added bonuses including the animal farm

Liked: Sehr gutes Abendessen im Restaurant, guter Service an der Rezeption. Kleiner Sonnenschutz auf jedem Platz vorhanden. Gestaltung vom Campingplatz ist liebevoll und schön, vor allem auch der kleine Hof mit verschiedenen Tieren.

Disliked: Sauberkeit der Toiletten und Duschen lässt zu Wünschen übrig, beides liegt in einem Gebäude, was zu ungewünschter Geruchsbelästigung beim Duschen führt.

Liked: Central location for the Camargue area, very close to the ferry to Port St Louis, Arles and Saintes Maries, Good restaurant and bar on site and clean modern facilities.

Disliked: Pitches became a little muddy after rain.

Liked: -Großzügig bemessener Stellplatz -Saubere, ansprechende Sanitäranlagen -Liebevoll gestaltete Anlage, „Nomen est Omen“ ;) Les Bois Flottés -Bar und Restaurant mit akzeptablen Preisen -Weiträumiger Strand ca. 15 min Autofahrt entfernt -Schöner Poolbereich (jetzt im März 24 noch nicht nutzbar, aber bei meinem vorherigen Aufenthalt August 22 gern frequentiert) -Tolle Lage am Rande der Saline de Giraud

Local attractions

The surrounding area is great for adventurous activities like kitesurfing, and there a couple of dedicated shops and schools in the village for those who want to give the sport a try (Salin-de-Giraud also has a tourist office if you want to organise watersports a bit further afield). Active sorts might want to bring their bikes along too, as the Camargue has lots of attractive coastal roads and paths for pedalling. For a totally different but equally scenic set of landscapes, drive north towards the Alpilles, a range of low mountains and one of the prettiest parts of Provence. Les Baux-de-Provence (an hour's drive) is a fortified village with many great panoramas that should feature high on your itinerary, as should the Carrières des Lumières (an hour), a magical multimedia art installation located in a former quarry. The site is also within easy reach of Arles (30 minutes), an attractive town on the Rhone with a Roman amphitheatre, some great museums and streetscapes that inspired Vincent Van Gogh. More Roman heritage, including a large amphitheatre and temple, are also open to visitors in Nîmes, the prefecture of the Gard department, about an hour away by road.

Pitches

A cable measuring at least 15 metres is needed for the electric hook-ups.

Admission

Admission is only permitted after registering at reception.
All guests spending the night at the park must present their ID at the reception desk and sign registration forms.

Dogs

A valid vaccination certificate must accompany your dog.

Safety

Barbecues are permitted but must be raised off the ground and attended by an adult at all times.

General

Bookings are nominative and non-transferable.

Changes to your holiday

Changes cannot be made once you have booked.

Dogs

Dogs must be kept on leads and supervised at all times.

Safety

Firearms are not permitted.
Fires, barbecues and/or firepits will not be permitted in dry, windy and/or hot weather conditions.
Guests are advised to bring a good quality torch with them as parts of the site are unlit.

Dogs

The site does not accept breeds/crossbreeds listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act (i.e. XL Bully, Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, and Fila Brasileiro) and/or any of the following: Staffordshire bull terrier, American Staffordshire terrier, Rottweiler, any Mastiff or Tosa.

The site is not liable for any refund in the event of force majeure.

Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.
