Small, friendly spot with neat pitches (hedges for privacy). Guests love the super-clean facilities & heated indoor pool. Restaurant gets rave reviews for food, order fresh bread daily. Staff are a consistently welcoming, helpful bunch. Great for stopovers or longer family breaks.

Electric optional grass tent, touring caravan or trailer tent pitch

Liked The husband and wife who run the campsite are very welcoming and both speak English. The campsite is very clean and the pitches are private and peaceful. There is a restaurant on site ran by the owners. The food was very good. You can order bread and pastries for the following morning at reception. They also sell a few grocery bits at reception and there is a fridge with milk and cold drinks for sale. The heated swimming pool is a real bonus. Our children loved it. We will come back here again.

Disliked Nothing at all.

Electric optional grass motorhome pitch

Liked Friendly staff, clean facilities, good food at the restaurant and good value. You had to take your own toilet paper but that was a positive as the toilets weren't littered with it over the floor. Pool loʻked lovely although didn't use it. Nice quite site.

Electric optional grass motorhome pitch

Liked What a delightful little campsite, especially good for young children as it has an indoor pool, playground, petanique pitch. There were plenty of children when we stayed, but they were no bother. Just the sounds of happy children playing. Quiet in the mornings and evenings too. Very good sized pitches- all a little different. Really nice pizza restaurant and bar on site. Washroom facilities absolutely spotless - cleaned several times during the day.

Disliked Be warned that there’s only a boulangerie and pharmacie in the local village - you have to travel further afield for food shops.

Electric optional grass tent, touring caravan or trailer tent pitch

Liked Nice pitches. Swimming pool. Good and claean installations. Restaurant. Between reims and Laon, cities we wanted to visit. Nice environment. We made magnificent biking tour.

Disliked Not enough light in the evening to wash the disches. No toilet paper Some village-noise is inevitable en and it did not bother us much. We had back luck. During our stay people worked on the road with machines, which gave constant motor noiss during our three days-stay.

Electric optional grass tent, touring caravan or trailer tent pitch

Liked Warm welcome, and a good sized, flat pitch with hedges for privacy. The facilities were modern and clean (no loo seats though), and our boys enjoyed the pool and trampoline. We had dinner in the restaurant, which was delicious, and the croissants we ordered for breakfast were some of the best we had all trip. We'll be back.

Local attractions

History buffs will be in their element hereabouts thanks to sights like the Caverne du Dragon, the Musée du Chemin des Dames (10 minutes’ drive), an underground museum set in former war tunnels and dedicated to WWI soldiers. Vauclair Abbey (10 minutes) is another old-timey spot to visit for roams around the ruins of a 12th-century Cistercian monastery; for architecture that’s a little more intact, take yourself over to the Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Laon (25 minutes) or stroll around Soissons’ ancient centre, museums and gardens (half an hour). Another settlement to skip through is Reims for its striking basilica, cathedral and palace (40 minutes). This city – considered by many to be the capital of the Champagne region – also has a handful of houses hosting tours and tastings of the fizzy stuff the area is famed for. If sipping on bubbly hasn’t quashed your hankering for historical expeditions, head to Donjon de Septmonts (half an hour) and climb to the top of the keep for views out over the countryside. Follow up with a visit to the Fort of Condé monument (20 minutes) as well to see this 17th-century site on the Séré de Rivières system. And if the kids aren’t best pleased with all these bricks-and-mortar-based adventures? Take them along to the Parc de Coupaville adventure park (half an hour) to bound on the inflatable games.
