As well as the Saint-Blaise Leisure Park next to the site, adventurers are also close to underground mine tours at La Mine Bleue, 500 metres away in the former slate mines of the Gatelière. Adventures on water and among trees are easily reached from here too, via canoeing trips from Segré 10 minutes' drive from the site, and among the foliage of Anjou Adventure Park, a tree climbing park 45 minutes away in Écouflant. Animal adventurers should seek a day at the Refuge de l'Arche animal park (30 minutes), home to around 1,500 rescued critters including lions, leopards, wolves, owls and monkeys. Also within half an hour is Vallée Loisirs, an adventure park with kayaking, bouncy castles, miniature golf and pedalo boating. And if it's history you crave, the ancient and spectacular town of Château-Gontier is within 25 minutes, and the Château d'Angers and other medieval buildings in Angers within 50.
