  • Peaceful site on the banks on the Moselle river
  • A 10-minute walk from Liverdun and 30 minutes' drive from Nancy
  • Pool, sun loungers, bar and restaurant
The medieval village of Liverdun above, the forest of La Haye within half an hour, and the meandering of the Moselle river within a couple of seconds… what a pretty place this is. Rowing, canoeing, pedalo boating and fishing for pike, perch and carp are accessed within a pebble's throw of here, along with scenic ambles or peaceful bike rides along the riverbanks or among the trees. Also easily found in the region are the handsome riverfront city of Nancy, the museum of art and history at Toul… and wineries and vineyards open to the public for gawks, tours and the clanking purchase of souvenirs. Metz is 50 minutes' drive away. Camping Les Boucles de la Moselle is set on the banks of the Mosell river, about 20 minutes' drive from the Lorraine town of Meurthe-et-Moselle and about half an hour by car or bus from Nancy. It has a bar and café as well as a restaurant snack bar, a shop selling essentials including bread and ice cream (and local wines), free wifi, and a play area. An outdoor pool with sun loungers alongside is available to guests in July and August.

Local attractions

The setting of Camping Les Boucles on the banks of the Moselle river has it nicely placed for days out on the water, fishing from its banks, or investigating the depths of La Haye forest 35 minutes' drive away by foot, bike or boat. A golf course is also within easy reach of the site. For urban days, get along to the medieval village of Liverdun (10 minutes' walk), the former summer residence of the bishops of Toul, or to the communes of Pompey, Frouard and Saizerais, all within 10 minutes' drive. You should also see the grand buildings of the scenic riverfront city of Nancy, with its museum of fine arts, 18th-century triumphal arch and the splendid architecture of Place Stanislaus, part of the Nancy UNESCO World Heritage Site. The 15th to 19th-century buildings of Toul (30 minutes' drive) are also worth a look, before a trip through the 28 rooms of its art and history museum covering the saga of the region from prehistory to the present day.
