It's free, quick and easy!
- Just 300 metres from the ski lifts to Font-Romeu Pyrenees 2000
- Among the spectacular scenery of the Catalan Pyrenees
- A few minutes' walk from shops and restaurants in the local village
Magnifique mountain views from all angles and serene stays in all seasons await guests at Camping Font-Romeu – as well as active days on the slopes and walking and mountain biking trails surrounding the site, which lies 1,800 metres above sea level in the Catalan Pyrenees.
Snowsport sorts will be properly pleased to hear that it's also only 300 metres from here to the ski lifts whisking one off to Font-Romeu Pyrenees 2000, a popular ski resort with 40 pistes to swoosh at speed down, as well as more than 111 kilometres of marked skiing trails to explore.
If you’re not one for skiing, the area is well known for its summer and winter hiking, as well as for sledging and dog sledging. Should you really want to take it easy, the hot thermal baths at Llo, St Thomas and Dorres are at your disposal to relax and be pampered at, or you can take the yellow train from Font-Romeu for the highly scenic journey between Villefranche-de-Conflent and Mont-Louis.
Leisure facilities at this modern, cosy and well-appointed Pyrenean park include a warm wooden central lodge with a woodburning stove; a heated outdoor pool and a pizza-grill restaurant for vittles and tipples, to be had either indoors or on the roomy wooden terrace among spectacular mountain sunsets.
Should you require supplies of any kind – or to treat yourself to eats outside the park – Camping Font-Romeu is a few minutes' walk to local village cafés, shops, boutiques, bars and brasseries.
