Walking, fishing, canoeing, horse riding, climbing and a treetop adventure course are all available nearby. Elsewhere, many tourist attractions and places to visit are in the surrounding Périgord. Try Brantôme, the Venice of Périgord with its surrounding river and abbey, to be explored by foot or by boat, or the medieval fortress of Bourdeilles about 8km from Périgord and home to two ancient castles. About 19km away is St-Jean-de-Côle, listed as one of the Les Plus Beaux Villages de France. It has an eleventh century church, Marthonie castle, a scenic village square and covered walkways. In May it holds a popular flower festival and in the summer months it hosts numerous music shows in the old church.
