When you’re craving peace and quiet in the gorgeous rural surroundings of South Moravia, Na Samotě U Včelína, on the outskirts of Lančov village, makes a fabulous getaway from the pressures of 21st-century living – and all the more so because it’s an adults-only site and the serenity of your stay is likely to remain just that.
The romantically named Na Samotě U Včelína (House of the Dreaming Bees) is so-called as it stands on a bee sanctuary created way back in 1933. Do not come here for late nights and partying, as this is a place to relax, meditate on life and go full tech detox. Explore the gardens and wildflower meadows, meet and feed the resident horses, gaze up at the stars on clear nights and wake up to the sound of birdsong…
On a more practical note, handy features of Na Samotě U Včelín include a fully equipped shared kitchen, so you can produce your own meals whenever you feel like it. Soak up the pure air and countryside views from the open terrace, take up residence at one of the picnic spots, or get cracking on a barbecue at the communal firepit. If you’ve had a long day sightseeing or exploring the spectacular natural attractions of South Moravia, put your feet up in the lounge and… simply chill.

- No hen/stag parties permitted via Pitchup.com.
- Guests under the age of 15 are not allowed on site.

- There are no bins onsite: all rubbish will need to be taken home with you.

Local attractions
Start your South Moravian adventures with a boat trip around Vranov Lake (five minutes’ drive), then stop off at the sandy beach for a refreshing dip. You can go fishing, try your hand at paddleboarding on the pristine waters, or take scenic walks around the shoreline. The monumental dam across the lake is a fantastic spot for admiring sunsets on clear evenings too.
If hiking is more your thing, take to the forest trails in gloriously untamed Podyjí National Park (10 minutes), looking out for red deer, foxes and rare black storks as you walk. You may get lucky and see elusive wild boar too.
For more cultural pursuits, tour the magnificent apartments and armoury at impressive Bítov Castle (15 minutes), with its roots in the 11th century and a spectacular setting on a meander of the Želetavka River. For even more architectural glitz, check out the fabulously OTT furnishings and decor of baroque-era clifftop Vranov nad Dyjí Castle (10 minutes).
