  • Peaceful dog-friendly getaway in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park
  • A 15-minute drive from Tenby, Manorbier beach and Saundersfoot beach
  • Two pubs within walking distance and barbecues permitted on site
Escape to Pembrokeshire, where sandy coves, castles and family-friendly theme parks lie in waiting… when you put down roots at The Three Oaks in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, you’ll be one step closer to surfing sessions, moor walks and more adventurous days out. This peaceful getaway feels rather remote, being surrounded by the woodlands and moors, but it’s far from cut off. Tasty meals can be tracked down in two gorgeous pubs 25 minutes’ walk away or there’s another pub along the estuary, just 10 minutes’ drive away… Of course, there’s a lot more action, including pubs, fish and chips kiosks and heaps of seaside attractions, in Tenby, which is only 15 minutes’ drive to the southwest… for more coves, get your surfing mode on at Manorbier beach (15 minutes) or dabble in some canoeing, sailing, windsurfing or sea fishing at Saundersfoot beach (15 minutes). With all the scenery on site and permission to see off the day with a barbecue, relaxing is easy at The Three Oaks. Dogs can join you here, good news for those of you with a canine family member, but no matter who you have with you, the well-maintained facilities (which include a shower, toilets and wifi) will always come in handy.

Liked: location was good, shower and toilet was ok but mainly as we were some of few that used it. The other field was much busier.

Liked: Helpful and friendly owner, great location for Pembrokeshire beaches

Disliked: No quiet hour rules and some campers were a bit noisy later than we’d like as a family with younger children

Electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked: The location, as the campsite was close to beautiful beaches and Tenby. The owner was very friendly and greeted us upon arrival. He also suggested places to see which was lovely.

Disliked: Only two showers for the whole campsite. There were queues in the mornings of people waiting for the toilets and showers. At the time of our stay there were probably around 8 families, hence the number of showers was not really enough. There were no toilet rolls when we arrived. Toilets could do with some renovating and deep clean, but the price of our stay was good so I guess we can't complain.

Liked: Site is everything as promised. Owner is very friendly and helpful. Good location for Pembroke tourist spots.

Disliked: The facilities are basic but that’s as advertised. I wouldn’t mark the site down for not having WiFi, for example, as it doesn’t say it’s provided.

Electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked: Everything. From arrival it was clear that Selwyn the site owner couldn't do enough for us. With multiple pitches available we were offered our pick. No worry if EHU wasn't quite within reach, he would make it available if needed. The fields had games nets and goals available for kids to use. Toilet block was clean with hot and well powered showers. We were made aware of WiFi availability but didn't use it. Being within 5 miles of Carew Castle, Carew airfield (market and car boot sale on Sunday) and Pembroke Dock retail, there is plenty to do and see. Within 15 mins of Oakwood park, Heatherton and other such facilities is really is a gem of a spot that's central to anything you might want or need

Disliked: Some of the negatives I've heard of or seen have been laughable. There is nothing I dislike about this site. If I absolutely HAD to choose something ... A shelf for your showering products next to the shower controls (within arms reach) would be useful. And there's me being petty

Liked: The location was handy for local attractions. Not that far from Pembroke dock for the supermarkets, mcdonalds & KFC.

Disliked: Only 1 toilet on its own. 2 showers with a toilet in with them, all unisex. None of them were clean and showers ran cold after a few minutes. Kids were noisy until about 10pm each night. Wifi didn't always work either.
