Non-electric grass pitch

Liked: So I'm NOT a camper therefore please take this review in that knowledge. I was impressed with the camping field, the park/sand BARN and the other facilities for younger children. The owner was really friendly. There was a garage/farm shop near the entrance for things not available at the onside shop/cafe. Really close to some lovely places too. Overall, our son really enjoyed his first camping experience here.

Disliked: Again I reiterate that I am not a camper. I personally found the loo/showers a bit off-putting... although the electric shower was hot/powerful enough...

Electric optional grass pitch

Liked: The farm and the environment were lovely, lots of animals to see. The view from our pitch was beautiful. The outdoor play area was okay but does need a make over All the campers complied with the rules and the campsite was very peaceful at night from 2230hrs

Disliked: On arrival I walked around the farm area looking for someone / somewhere to check in. After 20 minutes a young girl showed us to the tent pitch area. Basically a free for all… no pegged pitches and no boundaries. The toilet and shower facilities were very disappointing and in desperate need of updating. There were 3 showers in total and 1 wasn’t working whilst we were there. The childrens play area and facilities were okay but need a lot of safety checks. The net was ripped and the poles holding the net are rusty and broken. Such a shame! The farm was closed on the Friday and Saturday so didn’t have access to this ( as booking stated ) Not very well lite when going to the toilet at night.

Electric optional grass pitch

Liked: The location was fab, loved the horses and donkeys. Really enjoyed you had the run of the place in the evenings. The views were incredible. The owner seemed very friendly. The facilities were very basic but very clean.

Disliked: The children’s play areas could do with a bit of modernisation. It all seemed a bit tired.

Non-electric grass pitch

Liked: Delighted with the camp site. Adored the animals and there was so much for the children to do rain or shine. A wicked sheltered sand pit, awesome playground and go kart track and even a little indoor soft play area in the cafe. Extremely happy with being able to hire out a camp fire and buy food on site too. Very impressed. We didn’t end up getting to do the stuff they had on offer like carriage ride (we will next time) but they had a list of things going every day which looked amazing and also an incredibly interesting museum to explore. Will 100% be coming here again!

Disliked: They had problems with the showers so we didn’t end up being able to use them but it wasn’t really too much of an issue. Very accommodating and helpful otherwise.

Local attractions

This is a stunning part of west Wales, with beaches and coastal walks, castles, ancient forts and family attractions all easy to get to. Less than a mile from the farm in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park is the Iron Age archaeological site of Castell Henllys with its Celtic roundhouses and regular events. Even the most iron-willed history resister should be stoked with a day here, where kids can hear ancient tales of the Pembrokeshire people, train as warriors, take the history trail or take part in some of the 80+ activities arranged here each year. Beach days are a must around here too: if you feel up for it, you can hike six miles from the farm to reach the coastal path at Newport, part of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Path running for 186 miles from Amroth to St. Dogmaels around this part of Wales shoreline. Family days at Folly Farm, Pembroke Castle, Tenby and Caldey Island are all within 30 miles of the farm.
