Touring Wales and heading for the Cardigan Bay coastline? You’ll have a cracking stay – whether you’re overnighting or sticking around for a few days – at Stopover Brynhyfryd Pencader, where there’s just one spacious and fully-serviced hardstanding pitch for motorhomes. This premium spot has its own decking and seating area with rural views, and it comes with an electric hook-up and water too, plus the use of a shower and toilet. The pitch is in Pencader, a quiet country village on the edge of Carmarthenshire and Ceredigion. It’s about half an hour’s drive from stunning north-coast beaches including New Quay, where dolphin-spotting boat trips depart from the harbour – in fact keep your eyes peeled and you may spot dolphins dancing in the waves from the harbour wall. If you’d rather leave your vehicle behind and go off exploring for the day, Carmarthen, its castle and cinema (handy if you hit a rainy day) are just 25 minutes’ bus ride away. Spend a day sightseeing or shopping there and round off your trip with a drink and food in one of the town’s many pubs.
