Liked: What a fantastic little campsite. The owner was there to meet us on arrival (6pm ish on a Friday) and she was super welcoming. A variety of tents, camper vans and a couple of seasonal caravan spots. Lovely rural spot but not too far from shops, fuel stations & a variety of pubs within a short drive. Toilet/shower block is well maintained and very well presented. No shortage of loo roll. Washing area has two large “Belfast” style sinks and adequate space for 2 families on washing up duty 😊 It’s a small site, quiet and informal. I couldn’t get WiFi to work but to be honest, my phone reception was good and I didn’t follow up about lack of connection. Adequate waste area with recycling options for glass, cardboard and plastics. So, your travel/holiday can be a little more environmentally friendly. We stayed 2 nights and had a relaxed & enjoyable stay. Communication prior to our stay was brilliant. Questions answered promptly. In my opinion, if you want a hassle free, peaceful stopover and you’re new to camper life, this is a good place to learn the ropes. If we’re in the area in the future, I’d definitely stay here again. Thanks.
Disliked: Farmhouse style toilet locks were a little difficult for my 11 year old to manage on her own but more a confidence thing, I think. Not a really big issue.

Liked: Owners had thought of everything, washer/dryer, microwave, hair dryer. Lovely toilets and lovely powerful shower near the main house. Cars to be parked on the car park rather than on the site.
Disliked: Wish they had children’s park/play area.

From the manager: Many thanks for leaving the review and glad you enjoyed your stay. Just some feedback on not having a children play area, which we have been advised by our insurance company that it would add risk to the policy and we should not have one. However, many of the families enjoy time walking in the lovely countryside close by. Many thanks Richard and Pamela

Liked: Everything to be honest. We would highly recommend this site and we will be back again. Very peaceful. Really beautifully kept pitches, the facilities were good and kept clean! Also helped that the sun was shining all weekend so it was blissful. Saw the owner several times and she was really friendly. We were able to use a fire pit in the evening too which was lovely as the weather was so dry.

Liked: Location is the perfect launch pad for visiting Chester, Wrexham and many other popular places. It’s set in beautiful countryside with lots of walks and a number of good pubs and restaurants. The owners know how to look after you. Very friendly, small site with a community feel. Good balance of tent campers and vans meant the 2 toilets and 2 showers was never overly busy. Really clean, lovely site. We have camped all over the uk and France and found this site to be up there with the best we have stopped at. Will definitely be back.
Disliked: There is nothing to dislike.

Liked: Clean tidy site, level pitches, the facilities were spot on. I come with a load of wet washing knowing that this could be dried in the dryer! We stayed in the first field, next to Picasso’s paddock & my daughter LOVED it when he wanted to have a fuss made of him. The road ways were made of stone/gravel, so the children could hear the cars coming from a distance and move out of the way. We stayed over the bank holiday so it was lively but we didn’t mind that. The owners Pam & Richard, were really lovely, made you feel welcome and happy to give recommendations on the local area (The Boat @ Erbistock is definitely worth a trip!) Will definitely be coming back again. Thanks for a fantastic time.
Disliked: The drinking water, but we got some bottled in so that wasn’t too much of a bother.

From the manager: Hi Francesca, thank you for your lovely long review, wow! Picasso is getting very old now, but he loves the fuss and attention (and the odd carrot). Look forward to seeing you all again. Not sure what say about the water as we are on the mains water supply and fresh from the Welsh Hills. See you again, best wishes Richard and Pamela

Liked: Yet another fantastic stay at Lady Willington! I simply can’t rate it highly enough, spotlessly clean and well kept, quiet & a perfect small size for us. Pam is always kind & welcoming and continuously goes out of her way to help with our mini disasters! We’ve already booked to come again in a few weeks and will no doubt continue to do so! A+++
