Pitches
Pitch as flat as lord’s
Pitch
Five well spaced pitches for small secluded site

  • Small dog-friendly site in a gorgeous rural setting in Anglesey
  • A 10-minute drive from Traeth Benllech; half an hour from Snowdonia
  • Cycle to a handful of local beaches and return to set up a barbecue
Designed by a keen caravanner, and with fellow caravan and mobile home users in mind, Swallow Bach couldn’t be a more convenient spot to set up base in Anglesey. The spacious pitches are in a gorgeous rural setting, just 10 minutes’ drive from the nearest beach and half an hour’s drive from Snowdonia National Park. Each pitch (which measures eight by seven metres) is on level hardstanding and has its own water and electricity supply. They also have their own soak away, so you won’t need to fill up the aqua roll or carpet off the grey water – a relief for many. The flat pitches have large surfaces, making it easy to park up. There’s also easy access to the site, as it has an extra-large gate. Plus, the owner’s always on hand to help you out with anything if you need. There’s no toilet or shower block, but there is an Elsan waste point. Anglesey’s gorgeous beaches will probably be one of your main focuses, of course. Handily, there are a handful within cycling distance. Traeth Benllech, 10 minutes’ drive away, and Traeth Lligwy, 20 minutes’ drive away, are two lovely spots. Moelfre (15 minutes’ drive) has yet another. The popular tourist town has Iron Age huts, views of Snowdonia and the Great Orne, and a lifeboat centre. Places like Niwbwrch are no more than 20 minutes’ drive away too – then, get back to the peaceful, friendly site to set up a barbecue or simply melt back into the peaceful atmosphere.

What customers say

Quiet rural spot for peaceful stays on full-service pitches. Guests love the space, calm, and value. Directions can be tricky, and while some find it neat, others mention overgrown bits. Basic facilities, no loos or showers. Great Anglesey base.

Liked Rural setting, central for the things we visited. The owner sent us an email with clear directions of how to get to the site which was really helpful.

Disliked I emailed the owner which im still yet to have a response.

Non-electric grass pitch

Liked Peaceful and has big pitches, clearly marked.

Disliked It needed to be clearer signposted at the entrance, we drove past it twice as couldn’t see the sign.
It needs to be clearer on pitch up that there is no centralised water tap for use by campers in tents.

From the manager: Yes there is!! There is a stand pipe by the Elson.

Fully-serviced hardstanding and grass pitch

Liked Absolutely loved this campsite! It’s so peaceful and such a fantastic spot to unwind. Only a 30-minute bike ride from the most amazing beaches and really close to the Lôn Las Cefni cycle route — a gorgeous, flat, traffic-free route that’s perfect for a leisurely ride.

Fully-serviced hardstanding and grass pitch

Liked Like most vans we have perfectly adequate toilet and shower facilities onboard so why pay more for facilities we don't need or use.
With serviced electric hook up pitches this site had everything we needed at a sensible price.

Disliked A lot of angry wasps around the van.
Poor mobile phone signal and virtually no internet signal.

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thanks for a lovely review. I can’t do anything about the wasps!! Internet depends on your provider. Usually good with most. Thanks so much for your stay.

Fully-serviced hardstanding and grass pitch

Liked Lovely quiet site

Disliked Booked a fully serviced hard standing serviced pitch . The grass hadn’t been cut so spent the first 15 minutes of stay trampling on over grown weeds to flatten grass. Grass was long and wet so everytine were on pitch had wet socks and shoes

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: It’s cut weekly. Been very dry lately so not been able to cut as regular as brings earth up.
