What customers say
Lovely, tranquil spot with great views. Accommodation mostly cosy and well-kitted, with underfloor heating. Arrival's slick, and they even include fresh eggs. A few guests felt exposed at night due to large windows, and some cooking/cleaning gear could do with an upgrade.

Had THE best stay here and couldn’t recommend it enough.
Sycamore microlodge
Liked Fantastic spot, accommodation was perfect, clean, well presented, perfect sized space. Uninterrupted views of the countryside were epic and the location was perfect for us heading over to Pen Y Fan to hike and within decent reach of many other nice spots we visited such as the four waterfalls walk down in Aberdare. Although the description says no pitch side parking it’s actually literally 20 yards from it and is a nicely gravelled parking spot just for the 2 pods. The milk and locally supplied eggs were a nice touch too. Highly recommend it and keen to return in the future.
Disliked Not a dislike but if you stay here and plan on eating in, the frying pan is only a small one and the dinner plates were small for a main meal. But that’s just easy things to bring along yourself if need be.

Fantastic get away location
Sycamore microlodge
Liked Absolutely loved our stay at the Sycamore Lodge. Very nice location, only a few minutes drive to Brecon town centre and amazing views. Pet friendly and the dog loved running around the field. Bed was very comfy, great little bathroom and a well equipped kitchen. It's was freezing outside at just above 0c when we visited but the lodge has underfloor heating and was cosy throughout our stay. I have already recommended to family and hopefully will visit again myself in the future. Only thing we missed was a proper sofa and a brush to clean up after ourselves properly but this is really minor considering how lush it already is.

A much needed respite from ‘Van life’ and a quiet and calming place.
Sycamore microlodge
Liked The setting, the room, the efficiency of the arrival process and the great use of minimal space.
Disliked We love walking and cooking so the area is superb but the cooking equipment and eating utensils were somewhat disappointing! Was lucky we had some of our own!!

The most beautiful site we have ever stayed on
Sycamore microlodge
Liked We absolutely loved staying in this beautiful cabin, with the most spectacular view ever.
The standard was very high and beautifully thought out.
There was everything you needed to make your stay perfect.
We also received a text the day before giving clear directions on how to find the site. Perfect!!
When we arrived there were fresh eggs and milk in the fridge for us, which was a lovely touch.
We would definitely stay here again. Hopefully next time the weather would be kinder.
Disliked This isn't a dislike! But I did feel like I would have liked the option to have had blinds to close on the large windows and door at the front of the lodge. I did feel a little exposed when it was dark. But that is just something I would have liked personally.
