What customers say
A lekker, chilled campsite near the beach. Martin, the owner, is super helpful, and the facilities are clean and basic. Pitches are spacious with great views. Trains are nearby, but most guests didn't mind. Awesome value for a peaceful escape.

Liked the guy at reception was rly great and so friendly, we accidentally booked as a backpacker but was able to sort it out once we got here. he comes around to see how everyone is doing in the morning which is so nice. the toilets are nice and it’s pretty close walk to the beach which is amazing too.

We loved it and will be back.
Non-electric grass pitch
Liked Warm welcome from Mein Host, Martin! He was polite, informative and helpful.
Nice sire on gently sloping sight with plenty of flat places to pitch.
Great to have access to fridge / freezer, hot water for washing up and free access to power up devices.
You pay for shower but minimal cost.
Everything kept clean and fully stocked.
This site feels very relaxed with a pitch anywhere approach rather than being laid out regimentally, an approach we prefer.
Access to the beach is approximately a 10 minute slow walk. Turn right and slup to the estury where you can access a beach that faces east on the estury (this is often less windy!). Turn left and you can walk all the day to Borth village, taking in the 'submerged' petrfied forrest at low tide. Its a friendly place where everything you want or need for a holiday can be found.
Acces to the beach is limited to a couple of places around high tide (at high tide the sea comes right up to 'cobbles' so acces to the sea is possible but walking is challenging).
Martin will advise of tide times or you can check online.
We went for the first time two weeks ago for 4 days and returned a week later for 7 days. We loved it and will be back.
Disliked As people note the site is next to a train track with a regular service starting early finnishing late. It is also next to a minor road with minimal traffic. We were not disturbed in the least as after a couple of hours these noises disapeard into the background. However if you sleep lightly and end up focussing on the noise this may need to be a consideration before booking?
