What customers say
Stunning spot, peaceful, with great Loch Katrine views. Lodges/pods cosy & clean, private toilets a win. Friendly staff. Boat trip a highlight. Some units lacked cooking, had iffy beds; midges were a bother.

Liked Location
Disliked Booked an Echo Lodge on the provision that there would be 1 or 2 but no more than 2 steps to gain access. Daughter is a wheelchair user but can manager 1 or 2 steps. Assured that there are only 1 or 2 steps to gain access, but the lodge was not wheelchair accessible. I did not need wheelchair accessible as long as there were only 1 or 2 steps.
Arrived to a broken key in the lock which took 2 hrs to resolve.
There were four steps, split level decking and the first two steps were broken, slanted forward and off to one side. The first two steps were nearly two feet in height.
Told there were no other pods available to move to.
The pod was the only one on site with four steps, split level decking and height of the steps to that level. Staff member stated “well what do you want me to do about it? It’s not like I walk to the lodges and count the steps, can’t you sleep in your van in the car park? “ this was the same staff member that made the booking over the phone. I stated that I have an awning to store equipment and was told I can not use the awning, to try camping in the park. I stated I do not have a permit to camp in the park, staff member stated that the rangers would probably move us on them.
Left with no where to go or to stay with a disabled 12yr old child.
The more I have thought on this the more upset that I am. The absolute disregard for the safety and wellbeing of a customer that paid to stay in an accommodation, did their due diligence to ensure it was suitable for our needs to be told to sleep in the car park is disgraceful.
Refused to refund as we were told the pod was not wheelchair accessible, I reiterated multiple times that the issue was the steps and the height of them which was fully discussed at the time of booking. (Apparently wheelchair user are all confined to the wheelchair and unable to walk at all)
Dog excrement everywhere.
There is little to no privacy as the public path runs directly in front of the pods.

A lovely weekend just need to clarify booking descriptions
Ben lodge (four person)
Liked Amazing location. Lodge was small but had everything we needed.
Disliked Misleading info when booking. Site says there are 2 rooms in the lodge, when in fact the toilet/shower was in a different building a short walk away and there was only 1 room. Also check in info was inconsistent, one email said 3pm another 4pm. Only 1 plug in heater, might be cold in winter. Cutlery was dirty from previous guests. Outside seating was uncomfortable, other lodges had much nicer seating. Nothing major and didn't spoil weekend but for the money expected a bit more.
