Meadow electric grass & gravel pitches

  • Peaceful park next to the River Forth, two miles from Aberfoyle
  • In Queen Elizabeth Forest Park, a half-hour drive from Stirling
  • Well-kept pitches with direct access to Loch Ard Forest; dogs welcome
If you’re setting off for Stirlingshire with your eye on finding lots of alfresco activities, you should certainly consider Cobleland Campsite as a base. A couple of miles south of Aberfoyle, this peaceful park is in the Queen Elizabeth Forest Park, just on the edge of the Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park. That setting means miles and miles of walking and cycling trails stretch out through the surrounding area, with fishing and golf close by too – and watersports, treetop trails, cliff jumping and the like for more intrepid guests. And in fact you don't have to travel far to get started on soaking up the spectacular scenery – you can simply stick around on site, where oak trees tower over the pitches and there’s a backdrop of pretty forest views with the River Forth running along one side of the site. Just beyond the river are paths taking you straight out into Loch Ard Forest for a woodland wander or a dog walk if you’ve brought your pet with you. The pitches at Cobleland are well tended and spacious, with access to all the essential amenities including a launderette, a washing-up area and chemical disposal as well as bathrooms with toilets, showers and disabled facilities. Aberfoyle (five minutes’ drive) has a small supermarket for supplies, plus several places to eat and drink.

What customers say

A lovely, neat campsite with great staff. Reviewers love the clean facilities, river and forest spots, and big pitches. Super dog-friendly with brilliant walks. The shop and coffee van are a hit. Mostly tranquil, though some found pitches tight and had a bit of noise. Most want to come back!

Electric hardstanding pitch (woodland)

Liked We loved the location for ur campervan
Loved the coffee area great idea.
Loved the pizza truck what a fantastic idea for the weekend.

Disliked A wee bit on a slope at certain places as im in a power chair. But we knew that before we arrived but I did manage to navigate ok.
Other than the toilet block which was a little more tricky for me .

Meadow electric grass pitch

Liked Cannot fault this campsite, we went as a family of 3 my daughter being 3. The campsite is always looking to get things on site when we arrived there was a fried chicken van that night, followed by the pizza van on the Saturday. The staff are all very friendly and welcoming. This was our second visit, we will definitely be using this camp site as our annual camping trips. We also done a 30 minute was to Aberfoyle where there is plenty to do, it’s a lovely little path from the campsite straight to the centre of aberfoyle. The coffee/breakfast rolls are also outstanding. The showers/toilets are very clean quite possibly the cleanest I have seen.
