What customers say
Spacious, no-frills site, loved for peace, cleanliness & helpful hosts. Great for exploring, with good public transport access. Some found it pricey for facilities, with road/train noise, uneven ground & thistles.

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked We were only there for one night but enjoyed our stay. The campsite and toilets were clean and it had a peaceful atmosphere.
Will definitely stay again.

Site has some appeal but not great value.
Non-electric grass motorhome pitch
Liked Good back to basics site with flat, open, grass field and two portaloos that were clean enough when we used them.
Stayed here to access North Berwick ‘Fringe By The Sea’ event via Drem station.
Disliked Quite noisy being beside a B road that gets plenty of traffic and the East Coast Main Line Railway adjacent to that.
Not a pleasant walk to Drem - only 2 miles along the road, but there’s no footpath and it’s fairly busy.
Not really worth £25 for a campervan pitch considering limited facilities. Would value our stay at £15 tops.

Achtung für viel Geld kaum Leistung, dafür viel Lärm!
Non-electric grass motorhome pitch

From the manager: Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. I respectfully suggest you take more time to read campsite descriptions before booking because our site is outlined as accurately as possible, including mention of the portaloos and that there is no running water. The grass on site is cut weekly with a ride on mower that we purchased especially for the job. The toilets are checked and cleaned daily, with many lovely comments about the cleanliness. The site is designed to be back-to-basics with booking numbers kept to a level that allows plenty of room for everyone, with no maximum tent sizes and no charges for gazebos or awnings. The pricing is comparable to similar offers in the area. We have returning customers that enjoy the freedom of our site and we will continue to proudly offer our no-frills campsite for guests looking to enjoy the rural East Lothian countryside.

Great value stay with super friendly hosts
Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Excellent location for exploring all the beaches and hills between Edinburgh and North Berwick. Easy access to Drem Station for regular trains into Edinburgh for festival days out. And Kate(?) our host was very friendly with lots of tips on places to visit. All for a very good value stay during peak season!
Disliked Thistles and nestles on the camping field. Lack of running water to easily refill water bottles. No wifi. But all easily solvable by next year. Noisy road and train line are pretty close.
