What customers say
Peaceful, well-kept site in Paxton House's walled garden. Spacious, level pitches, lovely grounds for kids/dogs, quiet vibe. Great location for exploring, with a pub/cafe nearby. Limited, though clean, loos/showers may be a bother when busy.

A hidden gem not to be missed.
Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch
Liked This is a hidden treasure. The site is very tranquil and well laid out in the walled garden.
A house tour is a must, amazingly well informed guides and all those who work or volunteer on the Estate have a passion for House, plus the location.
Do not miss the Chainbridge which can be seen from the grounds and can be accessed by a very enjoyable walk along the river.
Disliked Facility have only recently be put in but are already struggling from use. Ok at present, but if you are self contained you may prefer your own.

Disliked Atrocious customer service. We were headed with friends to stay at the site and were held up at a restaurant on the journey down as our order was forgotten by the staff - I attempted to call the site to advise them we would be late and nobody answered. When we left the restaurant, I called again and a surly man with a horrible attitude told us we wouldn’t be allowed to stay because we were late and that it wasn’t his fault that we ‘chose’ to sit in a restaurant. He was completely unreasonable from the start and was not willing to hear the circumstances which included factors outside of our control.
He was resolute in his position that nothing could be done at all to help us and we had to avoid the site because otherwise we would incur a parking fine which he could do nothing about.
Terrible service and disappointing. Waste of money.

Lovely overall and would certainly go again

Liked Walled site was beautiful in a lovely setting beside a large property. There is 2 toilets on site with showers which we didn't expect as it states no toilets. Handy location for lots of attractions including Holy island
Disliked The site had 2 toilets / showers which it didn't advertise but it didn't have changing mates in them which is unusual. Also no pot wash area.
