What customers say
Spacious, adult-only site behind a friendly pub with good grub. Guests loved the value, peace and helpful staff. Pitches are big and level, facilities clean but basic. Pub's a big plus. Some want upgraded loos; pub food can be slow when busy.

The site needs a good clean up.
Electric grass and earth pitch
Liked Location was stunning
Disliked The facilities on site were very basic and we didn’t like the unisex showers/toilets. Broken vehicles as you arrive is not a good look and the washing up station had piles of leaves and rubbish underneath the sinks. Old sponges had just been left festering on the side. Shame as with a little investment this could be a wonderful site.

Liked Everything ! It’s a great convenient well maintained site. The price is amazing value for money as a solo microcamper owner. I normally never return to sites as keen to find new ones but just love this one. Pub beer is lovely , great pint. Not eaten there but looked amazing

Plenty of space…
Non-electric grass tent or motorhome pitch
Liked Plenty of space
Disliked I’ve never had to give a totally negative review for a campsite before but I’m afraid that we will never stay at this site again. We planned to celebrate my husband’s birthday and my 60th birthday at the pub with my Sister and her husband. I rang the pub to book a table months before and was told that there was no need because they have plenty of space and that they only take bookings for groups of 7 people or over. We arrived at the camp and went to the pub for dinner at 7pm only to be told that they are not taking any more orders because they had a couple of large groups in. We were specifically staying at the site for one night to have a celebration meal and this ruined our evening. I felt sorry for the bar staff who had to deal with a number of unhappy people who couldn’t get a meal either. The bar staff told us that the campsite is not connected to the pub although the manager of the site works at the pub? Also on Pitch up it states ‘on site restaurant/cafe’ certainly giving the impression that the pub and campsite are connected. Unfortunately, there was nothing else nearby so we made do with what we had in the Campervan. I hope this review helps other people to avoid the same disappointing experience. The site itself is ok with plenty of space but minimal and basic facilities which could be difficult in the busier months.

Amazing
Non-electric grass tent or motorhome pitch
Liked Super well priced. We were able to choose our pitch. Toilets and showers superbly clean.
Food in the pub seemed pricey at first but it was so nice, and the interior of the building is furnished to a very high standard.
Couldn't wish for a better stay. Recommend the Full English breakfast.
We aren't too far (Exeter) but will be staying again on the odd weekend.
And also, it's situated in a beautiful area to visit.
Disliked Nothing to dislike!

Good value for money and a decent basic place for a nights stopover.
Non-electric grass tent or motorhome pitch
Liked A cheap win for the night. Really basic, with toilets, Shower and washing up facilities. The pub is lovely and the food looked and smelt delicious (we didn’t order food as we had our own prepped). If you’re looking for a cheap stop over then this place is ideal. The staff seemed lovely and helpful.
Disliked Shower facilities were really basic (one looked like it was a cubicle that had been taken out of a caravan!).
Toilet and Shower facilities are unisex but this is made apparent before we booked so if this is a problem then don’t book.
