Electric hardstanding touring pitch (pet friendly)
Liked: Quality and the size of pitch the pitches were also not to close to each other. A professional warm welcome from the lady on reception. The clubhouse and the outside swimming pool are excellent very clean and tidy, very good activities, good cabaret for evening entertainment, overall a great place to stay for couples or families of all ages
Disliked: The electric connections to the caravan kept tripping this happened to at least 3 caravans which were using the same outlet we found there were loose wires, I think this should be checked periodically by the park maintenance so customers do not have to deal with it themselves, also I would like to see a better outside area for dog owners who would like to participate in the club activities I.e a better outside area to enjoy a meal if you ordered this at the restaurant, because no dogs are allowed in the restaurant especially if the weather was poor. The shower blocks could be warmer, but these reasons did not spoil my holiday these are issues I personally have picked up on

Electric grass touring pitch (pet friendly)
Liked: Staff were very friendly, made to feel welcome on check in and the lady on reception was lovely, smiley, and informative. The park was quiet, our pitch (grass, electric) was spacious, flat and well maintained. Toilet /shower blocks were very clean and showers were powerful and hot (even at 11:30am, again the park was quiet, but we've found on other sites that after 10am showers can sometimes get cold). There was a couple who were cleaning and maintaining the blocks, who were really nice and friendly. The Bar/Restaurant is ok, a bit dated but again the staff were nice and the food was good with reasonable pricing. We did find that from our pitch there was a bit of Road and Train noise, noticeable, but it didn't really bother us. All in, this is a good site and we would stay there again if we wanted to go to this area.
Disliked: WiFi not available at our pitch, neither free or payable. There were free WiFi hotspots in the bar but very little coverage on the site. We didn't have great weather so it would have been nice to be able to stream a film when we were in the van, without eating up our mobile data.

Electric hardstanding touring pitch (no pets)
Liked: The site staff were all lovely and the site looks very well cared for and the amenities were all clean during the week but not at the weekends when the site filled up . The indoor pool was very warm . Except for the problems experienced below the site was ok but just not for us .
Disliked: Whilst the showers were clean they were very hot especially for children and the whole shower cubicle got wet making it difficult not to get our clothes wet . The outside pool was freezing and I was told we weren’t allowed to use the shower facilities in the pool block but had to walk across the car park to the other showers . Dogs owners pitching in pet free areas and owners walking their dogs in pet free areas . On weekend nights it is very noisy with older children running wild shouting and swearing around the park until gone 11.00 at night . Where was security ?

Electric hardstanding touring pitch (no pets)
Liked: Beautiful site! We upgraded to a bigger pitch and it was a perfect size; plenty of space for our single axle on hard standing, a big gravel area for our awning and a grassed area to sit outside. Also plenty of space to park our car on the pitch. The toilets and shower block were ALWAYS being cleaned! They were immaculate. The club house was great; cheap drinks and great food that could be taken away, and always piping hot. Plenty to do on and around the site too. The only noise you could hear was the railway track (which was close), but that seemed to quieten down at night. The main road outside is quite busy as well, but also quietens down at night.
Disliked: Showers weren’t the best showers I’ve used - they were boiling hot which was great for me, but appreciate most people would like to be able to adjust the temperature. They also weren’t the biggest cubicles, making it quite difficult to get changed once showered

Electric grass touring pitch (pet friendly)
Liked: Lovely site, well kept with polite staff. Nice atmosphere on site, spacious pitches. Outdoor pool great for the kids. Beautiful looking lake - didn’t try out the fishing but will be sure to next time.
Disliked: Couldn’t control water temperature in showers. It was boiling hot, I struggled a lot but the children couldn’t stand under it. Same with the sink taps, hot for adults but impossible for children. The person calling the evening bingo was infuriatingly slow & absolutely terrible & said task. Lots of the machines in the amusements wouldn’t accept the coins & a number of them were broken.
