What customers say

Great campsite! Amazing views, spotless grounds, pools & modern ablutions. Friendly, helpful staff & well-stocked shop. Nice walk to Woolacombe beach/town. Some found the terrain steep, noise from other campers, or WiFi patchy.

Non-electric grass tent pitch (four person)

Liked Fantastic campsite even for out of practice campers such as ourselves 😄 x ! Really clean showers etc, lovely friendly staff and genuinely dog friendly. Paws everywhere which was wonderful. Very good restaurant/eatery in the Clubhouse, big on kids entertainment X if I was 6 I'd be been right in there. 😁👍 Views absolutely glorious, ocean roar audible from our tent, as was a owls hoot at night which had us spellbound. Gorgeous X it was hard to leave. We are looking forward to going again for sure 😁

Non-electric grass tent pitch (four person)

Liked Really well equipped. Everything was clean and well kept. The view was beautiful and the pitch size was perfect. Large enough that it felt spacious and not overly crowded. Really well priced, perfect for a weekend getaway or a week long holiday!

Electric hardstanding pitch

Liked The site was clean, well looked after, toilets/showers were clean and didn’t have to wait long at any point for them. The children loved the site, they enjoyed the play area and football pitch and really enjoyed the evening entertainment, it was varied and they enjoyed dancing, especially enjoyed winning the bingo. The site was also within walking distance of the village and beach so once we were all set up we didn’t move the campervan for 3 nights. We went with our friends and were pitched close to each other which was great.

Disliked Take a hammer for awning pegs as ground was very hard but didn’t affect our holiday at all.

Non-electric grass tent pitch (four person)

Liked Club house and facilities were good. Food is good and at a fair price. Pool was overcrowded and pool was full of teenagers dive bombing and throwing a rugby ball. There are no life guards, this makes it unpleasant for families with small children.

Disliked Our tent pitch was so cramped that we could only set our 4 man tent up facing one way. Could not park next to our tent and to load and unload meant a 100 meter or more reverse with the car around tents and other cars just so it was facing the right way. The free WiFi is so weak its barely usable.

Non-electric grass tent pitch (four person)

Liked Lovely flat pitches. Each pitch was big enough for a tent plus car (we have a 4 berth tent plus minivan)
Toilets and showers were clean
Toilets and showers were never busy as lots around the camping area
20 min walk to the beach
Great views
Easy to find your way round the park
Staff friendly and helpful

Disliked Noisy neighbours till midnight (have a 15 month old)
Path down to beach is very rocky and uneven. We have an out n about buggy but a normal one wouldn’t get down there
Funny sulphur smell around toilets
Children’s park not suitable for younger ones pitches are close to road and 15 month old crawling around

Fully-serviced grass pitch

Liked The little shop was quite good

Disliked Pretty much everything
Dusty stone tracks with slate on them, steep paths to toilets, slippery and my daughter fell twice cutting her hand and bruising legs
Only 3 shower / toilet blocks for hundreds of people. Noisy. People arguing, swearing and loud music until early hours. It’s all built on a hill so it’s very steep to walk around. The toilets were a good 5 minute walk. Beach is rammed and parking is expensive down there. It’s a mile walk though hills and field to town and beach.
No shaded area on pitches at all.
Toilets dirty and sanitary bins overflowing.
Stayed 2 nights out of 6 and packed up to come home. Very expensive site too. £560 for 6 nights (which turned out to be 2 nights) I asked for alternative space and they said they were too busy.

Local attractions

The attractions of Woolacombe beach are likely to fill much of your time – but Devon’s not short of excellent beaches, so if you fancy a change of seaside scenery you might like to hit the surf at Croyde (15 minutes’ drive) or Saunton Sands (20 minutes), or head to Ilfracombe (10 minutes) for the Tunnels beaches – it’s also the port for trips to wildlife-packed Lundy Island. Elsewhere along the coast, you might like to spend the day at Watermouth Castle (20 minutes) and its attached theme park, take a walk around the National Trust’s Baggy Point (25 minutes) or step back in time at the traditional fishing village of Clovelly (50 minutes). Keeping kids amused should be simple around here, with the likes of Combe Martin Wildlife & Dinosaur Park (20 minutes), Exmoor Zoo (25 minutes), Lynton & Barnstaple Railway (25 minutes) and The BIG Sheep amusement park (35 minutes) to choose from.
