Electric grass tent pitch (large)

Liked: Lovely clean and tidy site in am excellent location. Fab play area for the children. The showers and toilets were always very clean. We also loved the nature trail walk. WiFi was always very good.

Disliked: The only niggle was having to use a code to access the toilets/showers. Unsure why this would be needed on site.

Liked: I recently had the pleasure of staying at this fantastic campsite near Ilfracombe, and I couldn't be more impressed with the experience. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by the incredibly friendly and accommodating staff, who went out of their way to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The campsite itself is spacious, with well-laid-out, fully serviced pitches that provide ample room for both caravans and tents. We never felt cramped or crowded, and it was evident that the site was designed with guest comfort in mind. The pitches are also conveniently located near the park, which was a hit with the kids. The park is well-maintained, offering a range of equipment that kept the little ones entertained for hours. One of the standout features of this campsite is the cleanliness of its facilities. The washrooms, showers, and common areas were spotless, which made our stay even more comfortable. It's clear that the staff take great pride in maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the site. The location is another major plus. The campsite is within easy walking distance of Ilfracombe, which allowed us to explore the charming town at our leisure. Whether you're looking for a stroll along the harbour, a bite to eat at one of the local restaurants, or simply to enjoy the scenic coastal views, everything is conveniently close by.Overall, this campsite is a gem near Ilfracombe, offering a combination of spacious pitches, excellent facilities, and a friendly atmosphere. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable camping experience in this beautiful part of the country. We'll definitely be returning!

Liked: First time with motor home and didn’t know what to expect. If this was a hotel it would be 5*plus. Toilets and showers modern and fantastic. Lots of extras like washing up area, freezer, laundry and even a dog wash area. Great views and very peaceful. Owners and others staying were really friendly (did take a bit longer to get to destination because of chatting). Being able to take our pets was great with walks just outside motor home. Taxis were a great price and regularly pick up from site. Our grand children were blown over with how great it was, even had a playground. Grounds were looked after to a very high standard and any problems were sorted fast and efficiency. The price was very good value. Great beach with swimming, paddle boarding, kayaking ( can hire) fishing 10 mins away and rock pools

Disliked: WiFi was not great ( but went on holiday not to watch or use). Wanting to book up straight away and having to wait. Biggest disappointment was to leave

Local attractions

Setting off to see your surroundings is easy – the South West Coast Path can be accessed from Ilfracombe to climb up to Hillsborough and pass Hele Bay and Watermouth to Combe Martin. But do take quite some time in Ilfracombe first to browse around its shops, galleries, gardens and museum, then have a boat or fishing trip out from its handsome harbour… Travelling slightly further afield, Watermouth Castle (five minutes’ drive) is an odd but utterly fab mix of Victorian treasures, modern rides, maze and gnomes in their very own land, while Combe Martin Wildlife & Dinosaur Park (15 minutes) has a whole menagerie of animals and animatronic dinosaurs around its 25 acres. And do try The Big Sheep (40 minutes) for sheep racing, horse whispering and a massive indoor play area. For other days out, spot exotic animals at Exmoor Zoo (25 minutes) or make your way to The Milky Way Adventure Park (50 minutes) to try Devon’s tallest rollercoaster, watch swooping birds of prey demonstrations, feed baby goats or slide around the huge indoor play centre.
