  • Simple site on a family-run smallholding in Devon farming country
  • A 25-minute drive from Buck’s Mills, Clovelly and an adventure park
  • Water provided; farmhouse facilities available by arrangement
Little Derworthy Farm is nicely set up for a simple stay in Devon with pitches in one of the site's four-acre fallow fields. This rural family-run smallholding is part of the quiet farming country, 25 minutes’ drive away from Buck’s Mills and Clovelly on the coast. Those of you looking for a back to the basics place will find the site fits the bill, as these are simple pop-up grassy pitches. Guests will need to be ready for a self sufficient stay, but you're free to use the toilet, hand basin and hot shower at the farmhouse along with a stand pipe for fresh mains water. A communal fridge and freezer is available for stashing your food away, and breakfast and other facilities can be organised by arrangement. Handily, local towns such as Holsworthy and Bradworthy are 15 minutes drive away, so shops, pubs, restaurants and the likes are not totally out of the reach. In fact, there’s a local garage with a small shop one mile away from the site and a hotel with a restaurant and bar three miles away. Then, of course, the Cornish coast may be high up on your list of things to do. Conveniently, some of the closest coastal destinations include Clovelly and Buck’s Mills, both ancient fishing spots. Surfing takes the limelight in Buck’s Mills, 10 miles away across country lanes.
