What customers say
Quiet, spacious site with great views and a super friendly owner, Charles. Toilets/showers are spotless with loads of hot water. Good access to sights. Some note pitch slope/shower temp, but most want to come back.

Non-electric grass pitch
Liked We stayed here for one night during our trip and were really impressed with this lovely campsite. It’s set in a beautiful location with fantastic views, making it a great place to relax and unwind.
The facilities were excellent, with everything you could need, including a washing machine, tumble dryer and a fridge/freezer for guests to use. The toilet and shower block was spotless, clearly well looked after, and it was obvious that it was cleaned and monitored regularly.
We received a warm welcome from Charles when we arrived. He showed us to our pitch, explained where everything was and made us feel at home straight away. He’s a genuinely friendly chap who clearly cares about both his guests and the campsite.
One lovely touch was reading about the history of the site and Charles’ family, which is displayed in the shower block. It’s well worth taking a few minutes to have a read as it adds a real sense of character and heritage to the campsite.
A peaceful, well-maintained site with excellent facilities, stunning views and a genuinely personal welcome. We’d happily stay again and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Barnstaple area.
Disliked That we only stopped for one night, we will be back.
